Audley Harrison continues the fight for Stonebridge Adventure Playground

    BOXING flop Audley Harrison donned a Keep Stonebridge Adventure Playground Open t-shirt minutes before his World heavyweight fight with David Haye that saw him knocked-out inside three rounds on Saturday night.

    The sportsman from Kingsbury, had dropped in at the playground a week earlier for a photo-shoot in a bid to raise its profile as it fights for survival.

    Colin Hunter, an old friend of Audley and a play-worker at SAP, rallied behind the star despite his less than impressive display, saying that he believed Audleye still had a future.

    But he distanced himself from quotes attributed to him in national newspapers in which they claim he said Audley wasn’t welcome back in Stonebridge

    He said: “They haven’t put all what I said in; boxing pundits aren’t going to be happy but it didn’t work out for Audley but that’s boxing.”

    Mr Hunter said he wouldn’t be bothering Audley for a while but thanked him for his work for kids in Stonebridge where Big Lottery funds will dry-up in February.

    But Brent Play Association, who run the playground hope to raise enough money to keep the play-park open next year through donations and fundraising.
