Audley Harrison rockets up world rankings => Haye fight is going to happen

    Harrison has sky rocketed in the world rankings

    “Everyone knows just what Audley Harrison brings to the table and the new rankings give him the credibility to get that shot,” said Eddie Hearn, Harrison’s promoter. “We are looking at a number of options right now and we hope to make an announcement in the next two weeks with regards his next fight.”

    His promoter pretty much predicts the anouncement for Haye vs Fraudley to take place in the next two weeks

    Adam Booth said this not to long ago:
    “As a boxing fan, I hate the fight, because Audley has not boxed anyone in the top 20, but I know that maybe David didn’t deserve a shot at Valuev,” Booth said. “Within Britain it will be a fight that people would love to see, but [Haye] will receive a lot of criticism worldwide. He will be called a coward for not facing the Klitschkos and his credibility will be shot to pieces.

    Booth went on to say he doesn't feel Harrison "would last four rounds with either of them" [the three reigning champions] and he also said Haye's main priority, as far as his next fight, remains a unification bout with either of the two Klitschko brothers.

    Btw Audley is 38 years old :D

    They don't give a **** dude, it's all about convincing people he is legit.

    They always announce their rankings for all the alphabets during fights.

    if he is ranked high in the wbc rating perhaps vitklit has something to do with it

    how would that fight sell on brit ppv?
    Fraudley fights a Klit while Haye ducks them
    and the Klits cash up on uk tv after Haye told them he wants to keep all those gains
    that would be funny as hell :lol:

    isnt it the wbc ranking which harrison has rocketed up? that is vitali's belt. surely vitali isnt seriously considerg harrison and briggs as his main two options?

    Im pretty sure you have to be ranked in the top 15 of the organisation you want the belt of.

    That article suggests to me, that Audley is closer to a fight with Vitali than he is with Haye.

    TS obviously wanted to start a hate bandwagon going and assumed everyone would gloss over the fact it is the wbc who are improving his rankings.

    It is also a known policy of the WBC to recognize fighters who win the European title, his ranking is probably the result of that.

    though it used to be a top 10 ranking...and Audley has since vacated????? So god knows. Maybe somebody can correct me.
