how can he be "a level above" a guy who is a cert to knock him out inside two? a better question is, why the **** is audley still fighting? over ten years of this joke already

I agree with you mate, I just have a soft spot for Audley I guess, I know he can really fight I just think he needs to really believe it himself, he has skills abundance, ill be very disappointed if he never showcases them skills in a professional ring! It'll be a travesty..

I think Perez will bring the best out in him as he's not a big puncher IMO.. He's class but Audleys size should pose all sorts of problems..

Not only would Perez blast Audley out, but I would wager everything I own on Luis Garcia the light-heavyweight bursting him open.

Tony, you able to give us any insight into how close you are to being Clevs first defence?

It would be awesome if Audley set himself up to fight in a way where he puts it on the line and establishes his jab, much like Lennox did. For someone of his size he uses it as a pawing range finder most of the time, which doesn't discourage opponents to walk him down and hit him with hard shots on the inside, which Audley seems to soak up reasonably well (despite people claiming he's got a Glass Jaw)

Maybe he might surprise us once again, but the thing is even if he does beat Mike Perez, what next? they won't EVER let him near another world title fight not after the Haye travesty. His best option is going for the British belt and if he can't get that, just hang 'em up.

He has actually, shockingly, just six months or so ago, it's so easy to forget, it hardly adds any credence to Haye mocking Wlad's quality of opponent.

Jaysus Christ man..!! Fair enough if you like the guy and have respect for him but be realistic. I hope your taking the p1ss.

Firstly - Audley has never had problems believing in himself - if anything it's been one of his biggest flaws as he is fairly deluded on his own capabilities.

Secondly - Perez is a big puncher.

Thirdly - Tye Fields's size didn't cause Perez many problems.

Could Perez being so gung-ho in attack walk him right onto one of Audley's short left hands, though?

That's probably Audley's biggest hope. Sure doesn't have much other hopes in a fight like this.

Here's to hoping Audley will do more than just tap gloves and look 'focused'.
