Sure are alot of harrison haters out there. In all the interviews ive seen of the guy he seems pretty cool. other than a couple of correctable flaws in his game why is there so much venom towards him. im not baggin on you haters i am just wondering if there is a reasonable excuse for all of it?

Audley, I think you have to stop right there. You got some talent but no work etic, heart or determenation. You are lazy ass ******* and have no business in same ring as Povetkin. Hand it on.

I have literally been laughing out loud reading this thread.
My wife even came in from the other room to see what I was laughing about.

I don't mind AH ... he seems to be ready to get up off the canvas career wise and fight it out till he's blue in the face. Good luck to him. If he makes
the most of his ability and gets a belt somehow it'll be a real credit to
    him for staying in there.

This thread is just funny tho ... classic.

Audley Harrison is a scared fighter. He wasn't prepared to take chances unless his opponent was throwing nothing back. I think he will most likely be knocked out in this fight or lose a UD. He had the technical ability to be a top heavyweight but didn't have the heart or desire. This I think was, in part, due to the BBC spoiling him so early in his career which lead to Danny Williams aptly describing him as a celebrity boxer.

I don't understand all the hatred towards Audley. The guy has some good skills, a bloody fantastic jab, and so what if he lost a few fights? I don't get why some people ***** about him so much. Like Bigcat above, I wish him luck and I hope he can turn his situation around. I just wish he didn't come across as being scared so often. Just bite down on that shield, let the hands go and he can get the job done. I'm sure of it. He can be a dangerous mofo when he gets focused.

Any haters wanna explain exactly why they are so full of poisonous hate for Harrison? I'm just curious to know why because some people's words are way harsh around here.

I think a lot of it stems from the fact he became a millionaire early, did a lot of big talking, disrespected other fighters who had achieved more than him & ultimately didn't deliver. I said above he had the tools just not the heart or desire.

OK, fair points. Come to think of it, I bet plenty of boxers wish they could become rich quick like that. And there's plenty of boxers who make promises they cannot deliver. I'm not sticking up for Audley btw, but I don't think the nasty comments are fully deserved. It's a shame to see any fighter getting picked on, I have the utmost respect for pretty much all of them for stepping in the ring and putting their lives on the line.

You seem to be desperate for fame, Fraudley.

But your positive thought cannot break natural laws.

I'm not condoning childish name calling either I just don't think Audley ever had that burning desire to achieve at the highest level & ended up getting KO'd badly by Michael Sprott of all people. He could have gone further but the Beeb spolit him & he let them down with poor performances which resulted in them dumping him & boxing altogether setting back the rejuvenation of British boxing in the mainstream a few years. I can totally understand why grafters like Danny Williams felt agrieved at the attention Audley was getting which is why he alienated himself from his fans & peers alike.

Again, you make some good points, Dan.

I do think Sprott was very lucky that night. After he dropped Harrison he looked like he didn't even realize he'd knocked him out, like he truly didn't expect to do that. Very VERY lucky shot in a "Rahman - Lewis 1" kinda way.
