Audley Harrison vows to win Prizefighter! Audley Harrison has vowed to win the Prizefighter Series on October 2 to keep alive his fading world heavyweight champion dream. The 2000 Olympic gold medallist lost for the fourth time as a professional in his last fight in December - but he still wants a world title. British champion Danny Williams and Reading's Michael Sprott, who knocked out Harrison in 2007, are among the eight heavyweights also looking to be the next Prizefighter winner. Harrison admitted: "My career has been like snakes and ladders but the dream is still alive. "Winning this will open a lot of doors for me, plus it gives me a chance to fight Sprott again, which I've always wanted. The goal is still the same, to become world heavyweight champion."
He peaked in the Olympics and didn't try once he became a pro. He stopped trying to be the best he could in other words.
Audley hates pain. He's a decent enough guy, (bit of a talker), but if any guy just didn't like that boxing had to hurt, it was him. Sparring him is a bit of a joke. Talented, super athletic guy. But he tends to really get weaker when an opponent starts connecting, then he leaves him chin hanging out, and can be hurt.
This Friday is make or break for Audley. The winner of this tournament will be huge and prove he is probably the is the British Hw (beside David Haye) and WC. Here is the brackets. Elite HW Michael Sprott pulled out of the tournament. This is a big time event.
