Audley has probley done the right thing and retired but could not bring himself to make it official incase he lost face ( to late ) if he hasn't i would love to see Fury vs Harrison
I dont know what this "talent" is that everyone refers to in Harrison?!!! He is the classic example of a boxer suited to Amateurs but not the Pros. He is a suited to 3 rounds with head gear, and big gloves, because the guy has no heart, cannot take a punch, hates getting hit and is not a real "fighter". He has done exactly the right thing though for himself. Go pro, screw the BBC out of 1 million pounds, and then fight on half heartedly against a bunch of bums, extracting every last £ out of his amateur reputation. The thing now is that his amateur reputation does not sell anymore, everyone now knows that the guy is not a fighter and never was a fighter. He is a fraud and he is unoffically retired. Do not expect to see him in a ring anytime soon. As soon as his opponents starting hitting back the guy **** himself and froze. Sprott deserves a knight hood for his services to British boxing.
my brothers friend came into the lounge when we were going to watch hopkins-calzaghe. of course audley was on the undercard doing nish against a bum. "why the **** is frauds still on tv" then threw a orange at him. (orange juice on the tele is not good) thing is that audley isnt that bad he has good technique but it's the intangiables that he has a problem with. his destruction of danny williams in the rematch was hectic. clearly his best ever performance...i think that was the first time he had got a cheer from a crowd in what...5 years. he just doesnt throw enough or have confidence in his defence.
But your forgetting, after he was knocked out by Sprott in 2007 he didnt fight again till about 14 months later when he fought on the Calzaghe/Hopkins undercard...so he probably will return after a few months of silence, he needs to find a promoter who will actually take him on board first too, since Frank Warren dropped him i believe? Plus he promised ''The dream aint over u get me! i still can do it!, i broke my jaw in the 3rd round but im still gonna say it, YES I CAN!'' :yep
I would expect to see him fight again, it's not as if he isn't already completely deluded. I presume that FW is not working with him after Rogan's got his name on his record although that defeat was closer than Skelton's was - although if he had been more aggressive he'd have got stopped I expect. My hope is that he signs a deal with Hennessey, that way he gets to box Tyson Fury - not bothered who wins - or alternatively never gets matched again and somehow if he does it's not on the telly.
