I really think it's sad that everybody pokes fun at Audley because he "has no heart". If he had no heart then why the **** would he keep getting in the ring and putting himself up as a target for ridicule by internet warriors such as your good selves? (I hear he's just as concerned about your careers as you are about his by the way).

The man's got heart make no mistake about that. Think about this... honestly!

What would you guys do if you were a boxer who failed to match as a pro the remarkably high standards you'd set for yourself as an Olympic Gold Medalist and had become a target for national ridicule in the way this fella has? You'd run and hide. Maybe enjoy regaling your friends with your tales of Olympic supremacy and enjoy spending your million earned from the BBC.

Say what you like about Audley, but he's got heart alright... and the courage of his convictions. He doesn't need the money. He's fighting through the unprecedented adversity that he is because he loves boxing and is convinced that he can still achieve his goals. ****, he probably never will achieve the World Championship, but who cares? He's the very life blood of this sport. A man who keeps believing and keeps getting through those ropes no matter what.

Fraudley has no Chin and no heart. He is your typical British Heavyweight.

Audely is a great British Heavyweight. He just has struggled to adapt to the pro style.

He's mentally fragile. He talks the talk but he doesn't back it up in the ring. His chin is shaky, but not as bad as some make it out to be. He just doesn't have the mental game to stand there and box or trade, he's still too tentative because he doesn't have confidence in his own ability to take a punch. And for all his ability. What a waste.

I was watching the Nigel Benn v Mclellan fight earlier (Awesome fight by the way. Watched it live when I was 13 and this was the 2nd time I watched it) with the showtime commentary. Anyway Frank Bruno is in the front row and one of the commentators says "Bruno trying to give Benn support and inspiration". The other commentator then says "Bruno isnt the guy to get inspiration from". I had to laugh. Was just brilliant the way the guy said it.

You guys know your boxing alright. Respect. If you wanna see a load of purile hating go along to the British Forum and see the kind of schoolyard responses this same thread got.

Seriously, I was trying to make a point about the nature of true "heart" and the fact that it encompasses he who goes back to the well no matter how deluded his fragile dream may appear to have become. Surely the boxer with the fat bank balance who keeps getting in the ring in search of fulfilling his dream and for that purpose alone deserves some credit? Lost on some people obviously... Sighs.

Since the Sprott KO he has been worst than ever, is "heart" defined by just getting into the ring, or by a least trying and taking a few chances???

Congratulations to Audley for having at least as much heart as anyone else that steps into the ring.

I disagree. Agreeing to accept a paycheck is something that takes very little heart. Heart implies hard training, dedication of your lifestyle to the sport, fighting to the best of your ability and not buckling in the face of adversity. Audley Harrison gives the same half-arsed showing every time he gets in the ring, and gets beaten by fighters with a fraction of his ability simply because he doesn't have the courage to stand and fight.
