Gazoc, top poster. Flint, top poster. I read many a post from Gazoc, D - Mac, TFFP etc when i used to just "read' the boards, before making an "id" Flint, it seems came to life around when i logged on ( dunno his logon time ) I have noticed the older posters dont post as much ( actually in the last cpl months ) and i do miss it. My attitude was " dont need to post, they all do it for me" I admit, i do post " Flint, do what ya do best "............the random is he serious or taking the **** enzo/gym/shed threads. He does have a shitload of serious info though. Anyways PS. That Claypole **** got me bewildered
It was odd that he had that outburst about Haye a little while back, then it all went quiet. No response, no follow up nothing. Something has obviously gone on behind closed doors.
Thats a random mugshot off Flickr (or Flint!!), theres no way on Gods Earth I'd ever post a picture of myself on ESB!!!
Audley takes a lot of flack, some of it justified but a lot of it is way over the top. I know he doesn't do himself any favours sometimes with his talk, but I kind of like him and think he's a pretty decent guy. He's a pro boxer, not a murderer or ******, but the way he gets treated (and I mean by the media too, I remember when the Sky panel crucified him when he first fought on there) you would think he was. I would love to see Audley succeed and become a world champion. That would be an incredible two fingers up to the world! However I think Audley's failings came with his money. No doubt he's a very talented and skilled boxer, but I think having all the fanfare and the money when he turned pro took away a lot of his desire/hunger. Kind of like what Eubank was speculating about when speaking about DeGale a few months ago. It's a pity, but that's just the way he's wired. I genuinely believe if Audley was blessed with a completely different mental outlook, we could have had another Lennox on our hands. He certainly has all the physical attributes and the skills. I just don't think he has the stomach for it anymore. Whatever, I wish him the best of luck.
IMO people go over the top about audley's "ability" forget the money he got and his supposed lack of mental fortitude the guys skills are overrated, doesn't establish the jab, walks into punches, poor footwork etc he did the best he could and without the gold medal which was lets face it in practically a different sport he would be looked at like sprott a decent journeyman rather then people going about how he underachieved with the percieved skill he had. EDIT: we put to much emphasize on size and physical attributes over skill and technique in this country, just because a guy is 6 foot plus and 240 pounds doesn't mean he has a chance of taking home the richest prize in sport, or at least used to be
I know Audley has fallen at domestic level ( big time) but how about chucking him in with someone like Evander Holyfield or Hasim rahman , John Ruiz etc , guys that are not up at champoinship level anymore (although evander comes close still ) , and yes he would be expected to get ktfo. He goes on about himself not being justifed and that he will still be world champ this would be make or break for audley , lose and that is the final nail in the coffin , win and possibley gets a title shot. go on Audley leave the british heavy's and jump in at the deep end. Now or never if he decides to fight on
