The only strategy hes got is try and land a big left hand one bomb. Which he wont be able to do. Honestly the one in a million Michael Sprott fluke is his sole basis for thinking he can knock Haye out. Wont happen
expect Haye to be jabbing alot to Harrison's body because of the difference in height, something that he did against Valuev, it will keep Harrison off balance and could end up gassing him.
Agree. The most dangerous habit Harrison has imo, is that he falls to sleep behind the wheel, if you watch him throw the jab, he only throws it when he sees the perfect opportunity, but he almost lulls himself to sleep whilst looking for that opportunity, which is obviously extremely dangerous against someone like Haye. Harrion's whole game is just too cautious. Haye is going to reset Audley, then step in and blast him imo.
I think the threads on this forum are going to be more entertaining than the fight itself. I hope I'm wrong but I think this fight will be an absolute stinker.
That sounds a bit dangerous to me leaning in for the jab I'd say would give Aud the perfect chance for that left hand. Like someone said Aud is going to have to be very active to win this something he never is.
Gotta say, he is being optimistic about that, I mean, like no one else has tried to test Haye's questionable whiskers, more established fighters have tried and failed.
Why is it when people talk about this fight they believe if Harrison lands a left hand its all over? That's nonsense, to say that with certainty. Harrison is not George Foreman, he's not a big, big puncher even if Haye is suspect.
Yeah but Harrison would be punching down the way. be interesting to see if Haye still adopts to have his left hand low.
Personally he needs to get Haye on the back foot from the get go. Audley's best displays have been when he's aggressive. Haye's not great off the back foot but as seen in round 1 against Ruiz..he's mighty fast if you allow him a second's rest. Audley has to apply the pressure astutely and work the jab and land his work then hold Haye up close and lean on him. Audley should try to work body when he feels it's safe to take that risk. He does throw well to body and it's a useful tool down the stretch if he can take it that far. Drag Haye into area's he hasn't been in heavyweight division. I'd also make a point before fight and to ref in changing rooms about rabbit punching. Try use every little thing to be in your favor.
:deal As part of the pre-fight hype he seems to have developed an iron chin and an unstoppable engine as well.
I guess its the difference in between what people feel Harrison has to do win and what Harrison has shown he is capable of doing. Theres a big gap there IMHO.
I guess the only thing positive you could respond to that with, is that Harrison has never fought for a world title before, although I take your point, agree that it still leaves you extremely skeptical.
I think we are all in agreement that Big Aud needs some drastic changes to his style for him even to be consider the winner of this fight. He can go on and on about that big left hand of his but how often does he throw it? How often does he land it as well? So far we are looking for Audley to be active, fight on the front foot, throw more than just a jab, throw the left hand more often and learn to tie a fighter up up close. I can't see him getting out of his cautious style to be effective in this fight.
i dont think audley has enough to keep haye off him for it to get to the later stages and we know audleys fine taking jabs but not big bombs, haye will look to counter audley with a big one and its all over. if i was audley i would just say sod it for once, come charging out from the off and let his hands go for once and hope for the best, we could get a double knockdown? more than likely harrison will be sticking that jab out on the backfoot waiting for haye to commit but will haye want to commit so early? im expecting a few boo's during and after this fight.
