August 27th... Maidana vs Guerrero.. who wins?

I'm taking Maidana on this one. I vaguely remember that on the rare moments where Katsidis hit Guererro in their fight. If a not so big puncher at 135 can hurt you then I think you could be running the risk of disaster against the biggest puncher at 140.

I won't be mad if I'm wrong though, I know I'm picking the underdog here - Guererro has the ability to outbox Maidana but he will have to do it for every second of the 12 rounds. Should be a good match and I don't really care too much who wins.

 

Oki fair enough, It will definitely be a good fight and I prefer the winner to fight khan instead of Erik Morales, especially fi guerrero wins.

 

If Guerrero wins.... then Guerrero-Khan becomes the best matchup at 140. **** Bradley!

If Maidana wins.... then I pray to God we get to see Maidana vs Rios.

I like Guerrero in this match up the guy has some great boxing skills. I can't wait for this fight.

 

How is Guerrero overrated??? He's been good, who gives a damn about the Katsidis fight. If it wasnt for his wife being sick he would've fought Marquez and probably have beat him and be light weight king. since Marquez is fighting Pacquiao hes moving up and fighting the 3-4 best guy at 140. Cant Wait

Guerrero put a great display of boxing on the outside against an underrated pressure fighter, but let's not get carried away here. He's definitely on or around elite level, but his accomplishments, while impressive, are few. I like the guy's persistence and resilience, but he could very well lose to Maidana, and there's little to support the idea he'd beat a master like Marquez.

 

Guerrero - he is one of the hungriest fighters in boxing right now, PLUS hes got skill.

 

I got The Ghost in this one, he's going to be too much for maidana

 

Maidana slightly better at ball shots.

 

This fight is a great opportunity for Maidana, a guy who has received a lot of great opportunities and deserves them all. Great show every time.

Two years ago Guerrero was fighting at 130 and a year ago he was roughed up and dropped by a well past it Casamayor in the 10th. He's looked good in last two but is the latest overrated "it" fighter around here and I'm not sold on his chances against Maidana in his first fight at 140.

I absolutely love Guerrero in this fight. Nothing personal against Maidana, he is great to watch but Guerrero going to decision him.
