Will it be the same group of guys that competed at the commonwealth championships in liverpool? Matthew Corbett will probably be there as well then.

Wasnt the Selection trials in march for the Oceania Games also for the World championships??

I imagine whoever performed well at the Oceania Games goes on to the World Championships.

I think we got 5 gold and 3 silver.
Jarrod Fletcher, Brad Pitt and Luke Boyd got Gold too from memory.

Id love to see Todd Kidd turn pro after Beijing.

Not sure how he would go but I really want to see, because he has been a top amatuer consistenly for some time now. Much like Pittman was.

Yeah im pretty sure Jarrod Fletcher, Brad Pitt and Todd Kid are in,

and as for seeing Todd Kidd turn pro, i agree he has been consistantly at the top for ages so after Bejing, why not... after the games therew wouldn't be anything left for him in the ams, he's won the state and aus titles, went to the Oceania championships... id say he'd be the world rep so whats left after the games???...

but i've only seen him fight once so i dont know if he'd be any good in the pros... but then again lots of people have gone pro with alot less of a am resume then Todd has....

What about Jarrod Fletcher as a pro maybe after the games???.... hes done a bit in the am game too.

    They are our best though.

Rating them against Russians, Cubans and other former bloc states they dont do so well yeah but they still get some good wins.
We did pretty well in the last commonwealth cup thingy.

Aussie's are more suited to the pros because its just a cultural thing to be blood and guts rather than clinical, thats why Bobo has had such a hard time changing our attitudes and styles. Definitely we still got a system that is run by guys who learned their craft when am boxing was a lot more like pro than it is today.
I know he had issues with Katsidas and you can see why, wouldnt be suprised if thats why Lenny Zapp went pro so early.

Man there aint no doubt about it...

Aurther makes it ****ing hard for us to get fights out where i am.. with his rules bout ABA fighters not being able to fight in da boxing League... we gotta travel hours for fights and theres gonna be a fight night in my hometown in about a month and a bit but i gotta sit it out coz its league.. ****ing bull**** the ABA and League need to just get everyone the same record card and let them fight both...

To be honest Im a little sceptical about how well Pitt will do.
Really good over the 4 rounders but I think he will struggle when fights get longer and more gruelling, his style can be a little uneconomical.
