    will be interesting to see who the trianer and fighters are anyone with any news would be a few trainers in Aus who wuld be great at this. maybe even recently retired boxer or 2 to add to the package

    i havent herd bout an aussie contender but i've herd there is supposed to be an NZ version.... but thats ben nothing more then talk i herd somewhere

    I heard there was one starting here next year. a Guy I know has a mate who is a fighter and he got appraoched about it. will be interesting to see if it comes off or not hopefully there are enough in the sup mid/lgt hev weight limit to make a good competition. also interested to see who the trtainers will be. I reckon some recently retired boxer would be good or maybe an old hand like lewis. I guess if it is going back into the US they will need some names either fighting or taraining. wait and wsee i guess

    Guys there are less than 100 pro fighters in Australia how are they going to come up with enough guys in one division to have a tv show?

    Yeah if anything it would have to be an Australasian type thing with New Zealand, or maybe even south east asia with Japan, Philipines, Thailand, Indonesia etc as well.

    Australia just lacks the numbers to hold any sort of decent contender type show.:deal

    I dont think the US contender had all US fighters ( though they could have )


    the show will be based here fighters will be form here and elsewhere

    dont expect to many surprises as to who will be the trainers.
    there will be a few fighters coming out of retirement for the show
