Hard to disagree with Bugner there. Apart from DeMori most of our heavyweights certainly don't look to be anything like the shape Bugner turned up for his fights in - and his record certainly showed he could go the distance with anyone (inc. Ali, Frazier, Ellis, Cooper etc).

    I agree with Bugner.

    Hate seeing unfit heavyweights.

Not saying Alex is fat or unfit but he does look like he can trim up a bit.

Joe has hit it right on the head. You can't be half hearted in this business & expect to work your way to the top.

He has come a fair way as far as fame and recognition goes, but so far his biggest scalp is Jameel McCline.

So far Chris hasnt needed bucketloads of fitness due to other attributes he has, but geez you would want to be 110% fit to fight Vitali.
If he hasnt trained hard for this one he will pay dearly

Eddie Chambers isn't exactly ripped either, but he did get to a career low weight for Povetkin so I guess he's trying.

Chris Arreola will get his arse handed to him in a bag when he fights Vitali. This will confirm my assessement. Arreola has fought no bodies apart from McCline who showed up for burger money.

Its the level of opponent that's holding the majority of Aussie fighters back (not fitness), you got to fight at a decent standard EVERY time out to advance on the world stage, ( Get battle hardened at world class level ) its no secret that the likes of Vic , Kats & Sakio for instance have all improved fighting overseas on a regular basis ,if Europeans just fought fighters mainly based in their own country they would be in the same boat , sure you get the odd exception like Mundine who up until recently could hang with Euro and American based fighters at world class level but he WAS able to hang with better guys on pure talent alone .
