Who wins... Waters vs Medley? St Claire vs Dib? Mirovic vs Sol? Dawson vs Medley? Gostellow vs Mick Shaw? I reckon: Medley pts Dib SD, probably controversial. Big Bob pts Dawson KO Gostellow KO
what about sol -v- demori pittmen-v-geale kickett-v-zappa vea -v-tauasa waters-v-jnr force wills-v-wills
Right now I say.. Sol KO Geale close pts Kickett pts but I certainly do not right off Zappa like many do, this is a truly close matchup. Tuasa clear pts Jnr on points or Waters late KO...I just see Waters wearing him down, Jnr either holds on or capitulates. Probably a fight that will never happen. Defo Wills...S Wills.
Rob Medley close points...good matchup could happen next year. 1st we will prob see Medley vs Solopov & Waters vs LoPorto to build the fight. Billy Dib close & controversial points win. Solomon Haumono on points maybe late stoppage. Rob Medley could pull this out...Dawson has little to no boxing skills...very stationary...but can bang. Lance Gostellow KO mick shaw mid rounds.
Solomon Haumono KO early. Dan Geale on close points. Kickett KO Zappa. Tauasa may beat Vea on points...but i question his stamina late on as Vea wont go early. Junior Talipeau is much bigger than Ryan Waters hence why he should win prob on points. Steve to beat Adam in a crazy matchup.
Medley Points Dib Clear Points Mirovic Points Dawson KO Gostellow KO & Havent seen enough of Mark yet, prob Sol KO though Geale Points Kickett Points or Lenny KO still not sure Tuasa Points Jnr force Points S Wills Points
I dont think his chin is absolutely terrible, but his defence can go from average to shocking. He cops a lot a temple shots holding his hands where he does and often he relies on just moving out the way with little head or torso movement. Doesnt quite have the footwork or speed to make that work for him. His chin is a weak part in his game but his defensive issues certainly dont help. No one, even fighting at the top of the aussie scene, can expect to get away with that forever.
Never got to see the 2nd Hlatswayo fight but I heard it was a pretty demoralising loss. Hopefully his last 2 wins can inspire some confidence and he gets another chance at bigger things again.
Fair call, I though it was a pretty big mental thing in the first Isaac fight as well. His defensive weaknesses were evident but moreso his inability to throw his hands to make up for it.
I pegged Medley as the next Jason Delisle a few years back. Minus some of Jason's chin, but with more skill and athletic ability. I thought he would be one of the best at his weight on the local scene, be in some very entertaining scraps but will never amount to much on the international scene. That being said I never thought Jase would reach the heights that he reached. If there ever was an example of a fighter taking his talents and abilities to their limits and further it was Delisle.
