Add the name Jake Carr to the list of fighters to watch in 2015.

Carr had impressive wins over Lyndon Edney, Dane Mulivai and Reynold Quinlan in 2014, and late the previous year beat Zac Awad and Serge Yannick.

Keep an eye on the undefeated Jake Carr.

So 2015 begins with 2 Aussies already lined up to be humiliated.
Sherrington to be easily KO'd by Ryder in London and Dawson to cop a hiding from Tapia in Macau.

Hoping Cameron Hammond keeps improving n moving up to some sort of world rating, been keeping an eye on him for a few years...

Also hoping Paul Flemming gets a move on with his career...

I know Dennis Hogans called out Shannon King for Aust title fight.... I'd love it if that gets made(and has some tv/stream coverage)

I too think that Jeff Horn could take a world title after a few more fights; I like the way he ducks punches to create opportunity or stifles attack; I like the way he protects his chin; and I like the power and accuracy he has in drilling left jabs. Good luck to him in 2015.

He is a decent prospect but a world title after a few more fights?

Which one? Mayweather's WBC & WBA? Pac's WBO? Brook's IBF?
Do you think he can mix it with other top welterweights like Thurman, Khan, Porter, Maidana?

I am sorry I wasn't so farking precise for you...I know my "stance" (at the moment) looks to be a bit weak....but any decent world title is a difficult tree to climb for any contender; and any fighter is beatable, even though they may not have yet been beaten (haha)... I suggested Horn have a few more (international) fights ; these results (obviously hoping for high performance by HOrn) could then show that Horn is ready to take on the world championship... if the "aging" Mayw and Pack are still holding their crowns - then let it be them. MUST world boxers stop their opportunities and efforts and slowly sit it out and wait for these two champs to retire? I see that there is not much use in a strategy for a very decently skilled 27yrs old fighter, who is winning substantial, international fights, to stall his progress, and to decline and travel at a lower level for another five years, and to then give it his big 'go'. I am not trying to win this argument, I do not have a cristal ball, nor do you. It is a very difficult road I suggested, but I really do see that Horn has developed high power punching and has a very decent technique to perform at a high level.....world champion? I hope so eventually, and if it takes another 2-5 years to get there, then I dont care about being wrong. (The road to getting a crack at a world title is a whole other diabolical issue....)

Jeff Horn will again dominate. He is a special talent. I hope Paul Fleming can be more active. Lenny Zap is looking fantastic, if "you're only as good as your last fight". Not a big fan of Lucas Browne at all. I find it incredible that he is rated so highly! Lets also hope that maybe this year that one, or both of the Australian light-middle and middleweight "paper" champs give Rocky Jerkic a crack at their title! Rocky could go a long way on the world scene, yet there are a few Australian "champions" that refuse to give him a look-in at domestic level! Thus, starving him of his opportunity! It's disgraceful!
