Moore was a freak mate. Was probably at the start of his peak years when he came to Oz. Belted Henneberry, Richards and others. Hard to find many better than Archie.
Yeah Archie Moore is probably my all-time favourite boxer. The guy was a freak who took incredibly good care of his body and developed a style that allowed him to minimise damage to himself during fights which allowed him to have such a long career. He tried to share this style with Ali who thought he was a crazy old man. Your list isn't all that different from mine, the only difference really is the placements and I've got no problems with people having Fenech in the lower half. Out of curiosity, where would you place Vic Patrick?
AFF, I'd have Vic at 12-14. Reason being, I doubt his style would be adaptable to the current game. Looking at Dawson/Patrick and Burns/Patrick, the latter of which I have the majority of the fight on film, I'd say Vic would have been cut up by the likes of most flashy Negro fighters. Tommy Burns was not an unpredictable fighter, just tough as nails, and he still pushed Vic to the limit. Vic is one of the most colourful men of the Oz boxing history and the fights with Bell, Burns, Dawson etc will keep him remembered. Georgie Barnes and Frankie Flannery were also very colourful fighter.... that doesn't make them top 10 on a list either.
