I was impressed about how good he was against Delvin but Rodriguez is levels below Cotto.

Cotto is undersized at 154, its fairly obvious. That's why fighting Cotto at 154 wasn't an issue for Floyd as he wasn't a natural 154 lb'er.

He weighs well over 160 lbs on fight night and cannot make 147 lbs. He's just short and stocky.

He might not be able to make 147 but he just doesn't have the natural size of 154 lb'er that is all.

He's just in that position that a lot of fighters get to in their 30's - he can no longer get to his natural weight class so has to fight above it against guys who are naturally bigger. The give away to that (generally speaking) is usually the body looking a bit more fleshy.

He was weighing 155 when he was fighting at 140 in his early 20s...He's big strong guy, just short.
