First off, his style and demeanor in the ring has something for everyone (sweet science aficionados as well as blood & guts adrenaline junkies)...and then there's stuff like this:

Trout's been a favorite of mine inside and outside of the ropes since before and during the leadup to the Cotto match, one of the sport's best ambassadors in the US, its a pity no one else in the media has picked up on that and use him a little more. Truly a stand up guy.

Not to mention with fair judging he ought to have among the best résumés in the sport (victories over Canelo and one if not two Charlo bros)

Both Charlo's without a doubt, no pun intended, and had he not been robbed in the first Charlo match, maybe he would have been more active and not taken off 17 months and been fresher for the Hurd fight, and UD'd him as well. Since he won the first 7-8 rounds off of him easily.

Trout won the first 5-6 rounds vs Hurd, not 7-8.

Great guy to watch, wonder how that Canelo fight would've gone without the open scoring.

Trout is 2-0 against the Charlos. Both terrible scored by the officials. 108-118...come on, FU.

Great video above. I have always a big smile on my face seeing stuff like this.

I had it 114-113 Trout versus Canelo even with the KD and open scoring.

I was introduced to Austin by a friend from another forum, now defunked, named Tony Zaino a referee in the New Mexico area. His message at the final instructions is " give em hell at the bell" The forum gave him that lol Followed Austin ever since Guy never seems to get an even break great guy though

Has there been no talk of a next bout for him in the last several months?

I've always been a fan of Trout. If he were to be given a shot vs Tony Harrison, I think he can win another belt. That'd be a proper fight.

The COMPLETE package. Skills, talent, balls, heart, drive, desire to test himself and fight the best, and the epitome of a class act. How he cant be one of the favorite fighters of a true boxing fan is nigh impossible. All love, brother Trout. As a man, he is close to peerless.

AND, as many times as he has been put in positions where 99% of boxers would feel entitled to bloviate about what a raw deal they got (hell some guys would have even argued with the Lara decision - would be no more ridiculous than Broner for instance hollering about how he "beat" Pacquiao...), he always accepts decisions graciously and is respectful towards his opponents.
