Austin Trout V Anthony Mundine - August?

Very good IMO in his prime....top 5 sort of thing but not good enough to go all the way...he had a few red hot goes at it but fell short

 

im no boxing expert, but that low right hand of Trout looks good for a Mundine jab. Also that fella he fought was no world class fighter, and Trout looked a little gassed - lifestyle maybe.

Only thing is reach, Mundine has allways been a bit short there. And distance can be everything...

Mundine is not is his prime, got KOed 2 fights ago and too light. But make no mistake, Trout is no Kessler, Ottke, Green or even Echols (he could bang at the time), so Mundine may be a chance if he can get the distance right, hold his hands high, work the jab and have a decent work rate.

 

Mundine is a chance against Austin Trout. But this is the sort of fight he should have has a couple of years ago and the reduced weight might work against him too.

mundine wld of belted marcus bayer & if ottke had of gave him a rematch wld have beaten him as well as was winning there first fight handly. Needs to get bk to super middle where he has power & more stamina in stead of f#*# around in middle. looks emaciated. & as i have said before got a even chance of beating trout in oz if trout pressures him alot he will find it hard tho as he has now lost a lot of stamina.

 

mate Ottke and Beyer were underated boxers. They may not look much but they did know how to box. Against all odds Beyer showed that against Green in re-match, and Ottke never lost a fight. Both were much better than Sylvester will ever be. Yes Geale did well against Sylvester, but you would have to say he would not have beaten Beyer and Ottke.

The only time I would say Mundine could have beaten them is when he fought thye second fight with Soliman. He came forward, held hands up, worked the jab for both distance and to set right hand. He would have had to mix that with the classic early Mundine movement, keep the guessing a little.

 

Didnt think they would fight in AUG but that what I keep hearing...I guess they need to be ready for Geale early December :hey

other than win a fight in Germany what has Geale done? Mundine has beat at least 4 guys better than sylvester, and would have beaten him in Germany too.

Fair dinkum mate, you sit behind the keyboard and call Beyer rubish, you are kidding arnt you. How do you think you would go against him? this aint no computer game you know. Beyer was a world class boxer.
