We're 9/10th qualified - a draw between Qatar & Bahrain later on tonight would be the clincher for a guaranteed spot....Great win tonight by the Socceroos though!

Scored by Joshua Kennedy, he's playing for the German Bundesliga club Karlsruher SC! :thumbsup

Is he on the outter at Karlsruher? He's had hardly any game time whatsoever the last few months, and hasn't scored this season at club level. He had a good year last season, and I'm surprised he's been kept out of the team. I'd always have him on the bench for impact, like how he was used tonight.

    Anyway, as for the game...
Good 2nd half, and It's nice that we've now made it to back to back World Cups.
We should be looking to set up friendlies with some European teams from now on in until the Cup starts. Playing regularly against Asian teams is dangerous when you you're about to enter a World cup.

It's a shame McDonald can't find his feet for the national team. God knows he's good enough as he's scored against the best teams in the world (Man U, AC Milan, etc. Pim needs to work out a way to get the best out of him, because he'll be vital for us in the WC.

Bresciano was superb in the 2nd half. Did he get MOM? He should have scored earlier on but more than made up for it with his performance in the 2nd.

Also, does anyone else get visions of Hegarty whenever Pim brings (or starts) with Brett Holman?!
The guy runs around like a headless chook, and strikes the ball like he's nursing 2 broken knee caps.

Oh well, we're into the World Cup with 3 games to spare. Good to see. :good

T.C.W watching football?!?! I'd have thought there'd be a better chance of catching Muttley sucking off Mundine than finding out that TCW watches the roundball game.

I tip my hat to you, TCW. :good

    Bresciano got MOM pecks.

Yeah, Holman shouldn't get a guernsey in the national team and i don't rate Carl Valeri too highly either.

Good that we've made 2 world cups in a row, well done to the Socceroos.

Holman playing for Auistralia reminds me of Jason Taylor consistently selecting Hegarty. :wall

Uzbeskistan appears to be the weakest in the group.Quatar's loss to Bahrain only confirms this.Middle eastern futbol scene is impressive tho.Exciting teams Like Iran and Iraq etc are the ones to watch. Australia should qualify in this batch.I dont see anyone in the group that's any good. Japan and Korea are overrated and BORIN...

as far as i was aware, this is called "east side boxing".

it's the same as going on a politics show and talking about cooking, it doesn't belong.
