For a small country, Scotland has definitely produced some excellent boxers. Off the top of my head and in no particular order:

    Benny Lynch
    Jackie Paterson (very underrated fighter)
    Ken Buchanan
    Peter Keenan
    Chic Calderwood
    Jim Watt
    Scott Harrison

    I think Kenny beats Vic.

I'll pit McGowan vs Darchinyan at flyweight...could be pretty interesting as Vic would dwarf the little Scotsman but Walt I think is to skilled here...he would make Vic miss ridiculously wide.

At bantam...we got Rose, Carruthers, Fenech, Ferrari, Bennett and more...can't really think of one truly exceptional Scottish Bantam outside of Keenan and former flyweights..maybe it's just my ignorance.

Featherweight...Gotta go with Harrison for the Scots..Fammo and Fenech would just be unfair but who else for us? Wally Taylor? Griffo?

Lightweight...thats where we get pwned..Hec and Vic would do us proud but to much quality there from the scots.

I'll throw another LW out there... Dick McTaggart. He never went pro, but Buchanan had nothing but praises for the man and still seems held in high regard when mentioned in Scottish and British Boxing. Do you know much about him Josey??

Featherweight didn't really get a result because I was hoping someone would come in with a better opponent for Scott the Scot.

Because I think Fenech/Fammo vs Harrison would be just to one sided.

Darch is one of the hardest boxers i find to get a grip around, despite his obvious flaws, his unorthodox styleworked for him and he had remarkable success, esp at fly. Later on he became (despite how much i dislike the word) exposed moving up in weight.

What about Gattellari?? much more compact than Vic and had a good punch, probobly better stamina. Do you think he matches well with McGowan??

I was thinking about the lack of resistance offered up and thought you conceded  2-2 then and we move on to Welter & Middle .

Bugger you can't claim Darchinyan it's like us claiming Buchanan lol .
