How about this, shut your mouth because nobody on here respects you or your opinion. Your avatar says you have been posting here since 2008, for someone who has been watching boxing for at least 11 years you know sweet **** all, now why don't you do us all a favour and stop posting in this thread.

    * A win at Luna Park for Opetia and a potential top 10 rankings is a distinct
possibility. As Opetia is defending his WBA Oceanic Title and is fighting for
    WBO global belt.
    * This is on Sat night and if it weren't for Opetia card i would be definitely be
watching this Hosking Promotion free on Fight Call Out Facebook page.

I enjoyed the fights tonight. Performance of the night was from Daniel Lewis. Winning the Australian Junior Middleweight title in only his third pro fight. Great respect for Wade Ryan who gave a good account of himself as he always does. I had Daniel Lewis winning well but all of the rounds were competitive.

Liam Wilson was impressive stopping his opponent in the second. I thought he looked more convincing fighting out of an orthodox stance than he did as a southpaw. His opponent was respectable but under-sized. Paul Fleming is the fighter I'd like to see him matched with domestically. Perhaps once he has a few more starts under his belt.

I thought Sam Goodman was very good also against a decent opponent. I haven't seen him before but he looked good enough to be featured again on one of these shows. A fight with Brock Jarvis would make for an interesting contest although both are obviously still very much works in progress.

Main event - Jai Opetaia won a lopsided decision over a tough but limited Kiwi. Jai has some rounds under his belt after his last two starts so hopefully that provides a platform for him to push on against higher calibre opponents in the future.

    * Metro City CW Floyd Masson dec win Christian Tsoye. Francis Chua win via stoppage.
How about a clash next with Liam Wilson on a Fox card next ?
    * Mike Francis after success of inaugural show at Luna Park plans a second show.
    * Lets hope Daniel Lewis shelves his plans to campaign in the States as even
though he is signed with Top Rank he is now a main event fighter and plenty
of domestic fights to have before heading overseas.
    * Sam Goodman is no longer a Albion Park secret. As i had said before many astute
boxing judges have rated him highly and he just missed out on a CMW games place.
Sam has sparred many rds with Luke Jackson and TJ Doheny.
    * Liam Paro WBO no 2 better keep his options open as there is new WBO champ at
140 lbs in Jose Ramirez. Once again a formidable champ holds the belt and for a
rated but untested fighter at this level i fear for his health. Just like Bilal Akkawy
found out the others are George Kambosos Jr , Rohan Murdock and Jeff Horn at MW.
    * Who is this person who is putting betting huge plunges on Sportsbet ? There
success includes David Allen to beat Lucas Browne , Manny Pacquiao to
beat Keith Thurman and Jose Ramirez to beat Maurice Hooker. The Ramirez
plunge was particularly impressive backing him from $ 2.20 into $ 1.60.

Anyone here excited for Volkanovski getting a crack at Holloway? Not boxing but a very bright moment for Aussie CB sports

I'm really keen to see Foxtel invest in Daniel Lewis & Liam Wilson. I think both can go all the way through to world title shots. Both have extensive amateur backgrounds & are great fun to watch.

I'd like to see Daniel Lewis matched up with some of the guys who likely won't get a shot at Tim Tszyu. Blokes like New Zealand champ Bowyn Morgan, Jamie Weetch (who gave Dennis Hogan a decent fight) & even Hogan himself once his pursuit of the WBO title comes to an end. Those are three headline act fights for Daniel Lewis that allow him to chart his own course to the top.

I'm not as familiar with what's out there domestically at Junior Lightweight, but the Foxtel boxing types need to put their thinking caps on & come up with a similar plan for Liam Wilson. I've mentioned Paul Fleming as an opponent. Again, to me, that's a main event status fight. Not only would Wilson get a showcase fight & the payday to go with it, but Fleming would as well.

It's also time to step up the headline act from Saturday night. The two best fights out there for Jai Opetaia have got to be Mark Flanagan (long overdue) & Blake Caparello. Both will cost money to deliver but I hope someone sees fit to make them. After them, he ought to be looking at the two Commonwealth games silver medalists, David Light & Jason Whateley.

I think that's a fair assessment. I'd like to see him attempt to clean out the local ranks & then step up further if he's still unbeaten.

I think some of the locals would fancy their chances against him based on his last couple of performances so hopefully we see those fights happen. The two Commonwealth games silver medalists for starters.

I'd like to establish who is the best Cruiser from this part of the world before we send that person forth into the international wilderness.

I think Opetaia has a few more gears than he's shown in his last couple of starts. He needs a higher quality of opponent that will require him to deploy them.

    what's happening with willis meehan?

he should be facing much better opposition than he has been fighting.

he should be fastracking his career and trying to make a statement. i mean i'd put my house on him beating the lucas brownes and david price etc.

The kid is only 23, he has only had 8 fights. Who do you suggest he should fight? He is not aligned with a good promoter.
You would bet your house on him to beat David Price? LOL He would murder Meehan.

He is working his way through the Hungarian heavyweight ranks.

After that they will look at the Tanzanians.

Along with Komaster i was not impressed with Opetai in his last two fights. Lets have a close look at Charalampous.
He is currently rated at 421 in boxrec world ratings. his last 6 wins have 4 wins amongst them. It took Opetai 8 rounds to hurt him.
As for Iota he is rated at 557, his last 6 wins have 2 wins amongst them.
When Opetai does finally step up i think we will have another Akkaway result. Now for those that say they take no notice of boxrec
ratings i can assure you they are far more realistic than the alphabet organisations.
As for Daniel Lewis although in only his 3rd pro fight his head movement needs a lot of work, had Wade had more firepower it could
have been a disasterous early night, he ate overhand lefts all fight. I was impressed at his cardio for the ten rounder but failed to see him hurt
    Wade at any stage.

Meehan has looked good against part timers. David Price would indeed murder Meehan. Dave Allen would beat Meehan right now. Meehan hasn't been past 2 rounds. Saying that, there is potential.

Agreed mate I would still favour Browne to beat him as we have no idea if Meehan can take a shot. It would be interesting to see how Meehan would handle a big guy like Julius Long which is a realistic option.
