What proof do you have that McKean is ducking?

What chu talkin about Willis is just starting to build some momentum now after a stop start career.
McKean has fought 4 times inside 12 months with a 5th looking likely before the full year.

Unless there is good coin involved I don't blame him for looking elsewhere atm. Though Meehan won't be far off him with a couple of solid wins...he has the talent. With all due respect to Demsey I dont think he has.

Rocky will get his chance to steal the show in much the same way Daniel Lewis did on the Jai Opetaia promotion a couple of Saturdays ago.

You don't need to be the headline act to be the best fighter on the night. The important thing is that he's on the show. He could have a tiger by the tail in that opponent from Kazakhstan though. That country has a very strong amateur program & his record suggests that he puts people to sleep.

I don't really have a problem with these shows being PPV. The PPV money is what pays for higher quality opponents & better match-ups.

Apparently the numbers for the first Tszyu PPV were higher than expected. That's resulted in Tszyu being competitively matched for a second consecutive fight & a bunch of other guys getting good opponents and pay days.

I think of my PPV spend as contributing to the development of Australian boxing generally & young Australian talent in particular. I can appreciate that not everyone sees it that way though. I wouldn't pay to watch guys who I didn't think had genuine talent & the potential for higher honours.

From my perspective, it's also good seeing a 10-year pro like Dwight Ritchie get his moment in the spotlight. That's what you work your whole career for. And of course if he wins, there will be another one.

It would be interesting to know how many PPV buys there are for Tszyu v Ritchie versus Horn v Zerafa. Presumably there will be lots of Queensland PPV buys for the Horndog fight but I'd be interested in knowing the comparative numbers Australia-wide.

I wonder if Junior Tszyu & Wake in Fright Ritchie can outdraw Horndog & Zerafa in terms of PPV numbers? Comparing the figures from a Wednesday night PPV versus a Saturday night PPV would also be interesting seeing as how they appear to be shows of similar quality.

I agree with you about using the fathers name for financial gain etc but you been watching the sport long enough to know that nearly always the biggest name headlines the show not the best fighter unfortunately

If Tszyus opponent had been a bigger name he may have been a chance to outdraw Horn but I would be surprised if the numbers are even close

Who cares about numbers neither fight should be on PPV even if both fights were on the same card it would still not be worthy of PPV

While I obv would rather watch for free i'm just glad the Horn and Tszyu fights are available to watch on tv at all, there is so many new platforms that are awesome for sports fans to get access to events like these which especially in auatralia would have limited or no tv coverage and it's great for athletes and fighters who get paid more.
I think they should definitely lower the price as both cards aren't close to the same quality as the big world title PPVs that are the same price,I think it should be under $20

Where you keep coming up with this garbage lol why would i be worried about who gets the most views,I hope they both succeed?
As usual you are being a negative troll hoping they both fail where as I think it would be great for oz boxing if they both get heaps of views and possibly open the door for more boxing tv coverage here

Yes, $10-$15 and i'd watch it. Even asking $50 for the big fights is a bit much when it'll be on youtube right after.
