What's up with all the "fan boy" talk today? The correct term is "fan boi" & I would appreciate it if any further discussion on this topic accurately applied the correct terminology.

As for my contribution to the Australian boxing fan boi discussion, I reckon we've got two guys who could win world titles at Junior Middle right now & another two, who if they are developed properly, are capable of doing the same.

Dennis Hogan beat Mexican Mungo, imo. Beat the pants off him in his own backyard. That's one who should already be a world champion at Junior Middle.

Horndog makes two. I don't know why they're pointing him towards a Middleweight title shot. Probably the money, but his best chance of winning another world title is at Junior Middle. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that a guy who won a welterweight world title off Pacquiao could do the same against a lesser light at Junior Middle.

Junior Tszyu & Daniel Lewis are three & four. Pacquiao & Daniel Jacobs wouldn't have brought them in (& more importantly, kept them on) as sparring partners if they didn't bring something to the table. Both have the potential to become world class contenders at Junior Middle & I'm looking forward to seeing how high they can climb.

As for the quality of opposition our guys have been facing, Hogan fought Mexican Mungo last start & is slated to fight Erickson Lubin next up. I don't think anyone could complain about that.

Daniel Lewis went 10 rounds & won the Australian title last start against Wade Ryan in only his third pro fight.

Junior Tszyu is competitively matched against Dwight Ritchie & was last start against Joel Camilleri for the Australian title.

That leaves Horndog who hasn't had a meaningful fight since getting flogged by Crawford. Zerafa is a good opponent for him though & we can compare Horn's performance with that of Kel Brook.

I'm not sure if it's Australian boxing fan bois who are the deluded ones or those on the outside looking in. Time will tell.

Agree on Horn. Don't know why he wouldn't go to 154 which is a very open division with plenty of upsets happening there, and yes, Hogan was robbed badly. Munguia should give him a rematch.

    * Fox should be applauded for their support of Aust Boxing not ridicule in a rapidly
changing broadcasting environment. FINA out priced themselves with the recent
swimming world champ asking for half a million and AFU and FFA face the
chop unless they give a heavy discount at their next deal.
    * Justis Huni has been sparring with Floyd Masson.
    * Talented Frenchman Maxine Beaussire has been sparring at Stretton Gym.
Wonder if it will be a working holiday or is it something permanent or will
he be the next Faris Chevalier ?
    * Lucas Browne will be at the Wed night fights and has announcement soon and
sounds like his next fight will be local.
    * Reagan Dessaix Aust LHW Champ contract signed and announcement soon.
    * Lets get behind Matt Rose and Stuart Duncan for their efforts on putting
Aus boxing on the map. Entertaining press conference well worth watching.

If Horn fancied his chances at 154 he'd be there but instead he's chasing easy domestic fights at MW. The top fighters there all do a number on him. The only guy he has a remote chance against is Munguia. Can you imagine what Jrock would do to him? It wouldn't be pretty.

I'd like to see Horndog in with Thurman Merman at the end of the year after Zerafa. Fight him at Junior Middle.

Slap him around a bit. Make him live up to his ring-name.

Run Time goes home with an L.

I favour Junior Tszyu. He's physically stronger & hits harder. Also Wake in Fright Ritchie doesn't stop people inside the distance so if it's close on the scorecards, Tim the Toolman will get the decision.

Wake in Fright Ritchie is no slouch though & his true professional record is actually 23 and 1. He won his first 4 fights while underage. When that was discovered, they made them no contests.

I watched one of his recent fights and saw him teeing off on this poor dude with looping shots, but he couldn’t put a dent in him.

To the naked eye, he looked like he was laying a beating on him.

I imagine Tim would counter those looping shots with ease.

I wouldn't fall into the trap of thinking that Tszyu is a sure thing & loading up on him.

Last time I checked Tszyu was paying around $1.30 for the win here. I wouldn't take that. Too much risk of being wrong.

Tszyu opened here at $1.70 which was good value. Anything less than $1.50 for Tszyu & I'd leave it alone.

I think Tszyu is destined for higher honours but this fight is a step up from what he's faced previously.

Don't see him beating Thurman either. Keith either schools him in a one sided fight or doesn't even get out of first gear and coasts to a closeish but clear win. The only way Horn would win is at a home. He's certainly not winning a decision against a top fighter like Thurman in a neutral venue.

Thurman fought Pacquiao at home & lost.

Horn fought Pacquiao at home & won.

    Deal with it.

I always feel if a fighter should win, there’s value

Sosa was -345 the other night and his opponent was def overmatched. Sosa was the fight guy to stop him.

It seems Tim’s team wouldn’t put him in there with Ritchie if they felt he was super dangerous.

Horn wouldn't beat Pac anywhere but Australia where a corrupt ref allowed his illegal rough house tactics and paid off judges gave him a fight he clearly lost. If Horn and his team shared your belief they'd still be at WW chasing those kind of fights but after Crawford beat his ass reality set in. That he's nowhere near an elite operator and as such is chasing easy domestic fights at MW. Thurman would completely outclass him. Deal with it.

There's clearly no shame in Horn losing to 1 of the top 2-3 guys in the sport Crawford,as for the whole paid off judges conspiracy garbage which there is zero proof or foundation of and is nothing but an excuse like the 1 about Horn only beating Pacquio because he was done, despite all the evidence showing Pac was beating the best guys before Horn beat him and is still now beating top guys.
The fact is only 1 independent judge out of the 3 official judges of the Horn v Pac fight and the 5 who re=scored it after had Pacquio winning but they all got paid off as well I guess lol
