So what's next for Horndog & Michael Zerafa? We know Horndog has a rematch clause in his favour. The question is should he exercise it & rematch Zerafa in Qld before the year is out? I think he should. It's not going to be easy rebounding from a shattering defeat like that, but I reckon he's got to go for it. He did hurt Zerafa quite badly I thought in the third round. He also went in underdone as a consequence of a cherry-pick that lasted 96 seconds at the end of last year. Zerafa was doing 12 hard rounds on the other side of the world at the same time. Horndog then had no activity in the first half of this year. He elected to perform daddy day care duties instead. I reckon enforce the rematch, put the fight on in Qld & give it your best shot. It won't be easy, but I reckon that's the right course of action at this point. For Michael Zerafa, things are a lot simpler: 1 - Lobby for the Middleweight title shot Horndog was in line for. 2 - Fight & win the rematch if they enforce it against him. You'd have to make Zerafa favourite in the rematch but I'm not ready to write off Horndog just yet.
In that limited footage it looked like Horn led with the head and got cut? The headlock with multiple punches, no, no.
* Bruno Tarimo looks likely to enter into top 15 of IBF rankings after win over Serif Gundijljac for IBF International Title in Belgrade. BT defeated Joel Brunker in March. * Really enjoyed Loma card and next Fox fight to watch out for is Sun Sept 29 Spence vs Porter and Dirrell vs Benavidez. * Western Bulldogs Premiership Player 2016 Clay Smith is preparing to make his pro debut in his hometown of Bairnsdale Oct 12. Clay is 5'11 and playing weight was 90 kg and retired in 2018 because of chronic knee problems . Let's hope its streamed live on Facebook like the first two Wildfighter cards and former Muay Thai Champ Victor Ngabe hopes to have his second pro fight on the same card. If Hornet is to continue he needs to reboot and hire a nutritionist and new trainer. Zerafa had gone through two trainers before settling on Labruna who has done wonders for his career. Down on corfu with the Mrs for a few weeks warm weather drinking training but we just got back WAR.I was trying to get the fight but the internet kept going down mate , good win this for MZ
The Horn kid was never any good. Was just winning fights by cheating like Danny "Grinning" Greeny. The FAB 4 called it from the very beginning.
Taking in information is clearly not your strong point is it? Don't try and pass off the dumb and dumber moniker to me as that was bestowed upon you a long time ago before i ever joined here lol
If I was Horn I wouldn't worry about that rematch. Even at 154 he would be the far smaller man and Zerafa would just re hydrate out to the same weight on fight night.. Horn has got by on having a good chin and no real boxing fundamentals plus at WW he is usually the bigger man. If he is going to compete at a higher weight he really needs to put alot of work into his body not to mention his defense as he was a flabby little man who though he could walk through a much bigger man.. He needs a new team and a bit of reality on his abilities... If he gets serious he should get past Zerafa but that won;t happen in the near term.. Zerafa needs to be careful that he doesn't fall for the same trap Horn did (beating Mundine) and bite off a bit more that he can chew.. I wouldn't be fighting for any titles just based on that result tbh, he beat a guy who had no real business at MW or any clue how to condition himself for that weight.. In saying this he has got himself a bit of a name so hopefully they manage him well and some bigger fights come his way. Seems like a good guy..
Yeah it's obvious Rushton ****ed up and should of looked after his fighter better but It's still pretty funny to here Fenech of all people talking **** about Rushton again, especially considering the endless incidents that occurred when he was a trainer and had access to pretty much all the top talent and resources in this country yet wasn't able to have any success, if anything he destroyed a couple of young fighters careers.
Yep 100% all these other cats fall for the smoke and mirrors but the Fab 4 have been saying from day one that the Horn kid was no good.
But Horn was just starting to come on in the 9th round against Crawford LOL. No surprise Rushton let Horn take too much punishment the dude is an idiot karate instructor, the other dude in the corner was Horn's punk brother who has a record of 0-2 and has a history of being a scumbag. What did you expect? I would take Fenech any day over these clowns at least he knows what its like in there. He was going to pull Dib out against Farmer for far less punishment.
Seriously thought if that's all the experience Jeff's going into a fight with in his corner then it's no wonder he can't adapt when plan A gets thrawted, add to that the alleged McDonalds nutritionalists advice and it's no wonder he's getting smashed up , if I was Mick Zeraffa I'd give him another hiding in a re - match but insist on a 75-25 percentage of a PPV then give Young Tim a bit of a touch up if he can and he will truly be leaving Aussie shores well prepared .
