Wow I have just stumbled across this sad news about Stiflers Mum..... I can't believe it.

I have conversed with SM for well over 10-12yrs on this board, it's mind blowing he is gone. He was a genuine nice guy in which there are few in this day n age, we had common ground with our dislike of the yellow machine, but overall, he was a great supporter of Aussie boxing and their fighters.

i feel saddened also that it's taken me over 1 month to come across this news..... Skimming through these 15 pages i did not come across a cause of passing, I just hope given his young age and when there is no talk about cause that it isn't what i would assume has been for far too many people in this modern and hectic world.

Jeff horn camp has doubts on whether the injury that prompted Crawford to postpone their fight never happened. Horn promoter Dean Lonegran alleged last month Crawford bruised right hand was a fake injury concocted by his camp and Top Rank Boxing to push back the fight for financial reasons. The June 9 bout in Las Vegas will be screened on a new Espn screening app which wouldn't have been ready had it gone ahead on the original date. Lonegran asked Crawford camp to provide medical records but it was not provided Jeff Horn has last word " I had friends tracking him on Instagram and Facebook and whatever. He seemed to be bowling and using that hand quite fine for a guy with a hand injury. "

Horse hair gloves are still legal but infrequently used by the pro's. Horn has never boxed in them but now must adjust in coming weeks with his hands certain to take more damage as well as dish out more pain . Horn said If anyone lands a clean punch with one of these its going to hurt like getting a clean punch to the face with no gloves on. Its going to be dangerous in there. ''
Reporters at Horn gym on Thurs afternoon tried on both set of gloves and there is a huge difference in padding and protection. Horse hair can be moved during a fight ,
clumping under sweat and make it feel like a fighter is connecting with bare wraps.
Horns trainer Glen Rushton said " The problem with horse hair is u can push it away.
It absorbs sweat and liquid. U get lumps in there. U can't do that with latex foam."
Mayweather refused to allow any of his opponents to use horse hair gloves and had
disputes with Pacquiao and McGregor over this.

Jeff Horn preparation for Crawford will ramp up this week with the arrival of Philadelphia sparring partner Ray Robinson in Brisbane. Robinson has 24 wins in 27 fights and was a contender to face Horn before Pacquiao upset.
Horn's trainer Rushton says " Ray is just the kind of clever boxer who can really put the polish on Jeff in the final two weeks of sparring. Crawford is a very clever boxer but he's never been hit by someone with Jeff's power and he's never faced anyone with the same unbreakable spirit that Jeff had. It's going to be a thrilling fight but i will back Jeff's heart , courage and power against any 147 lb in the world. "

Top Rank boss Bob Arum has slammed boxing champ Jeff Horn in a fiery exchange with his promoter Dean Lonergan in a London restaurant. When the pair met for dinner in Mayfair before the recent Joshua vs Parker fight Arum unloaded on Horn. I started telling him how disappointed we were they'd changed the date for the fight Dean said. And u know what Bob said ? No one in a America gives a **** about Horn. You're lucky to have
the fight anyway. U might as well hand the belt over now. That's what he said. And u know what ? I couldn't wait to tell Jeff what he said.
Now that Bob doesn't have an option on Jeff after this fight he's saying no gives a **** about Horn. We'll see what Bob got to say once Jeff ko Crawford. Jeff can do it, don't worry about that. The world will sit up and notice.
