Lucas Browne should be bet against in every very fight. He's going to suffer a massive upset at a fairly mediocre journeymans hands sooner or later. As such I wouldn't completely rule out Gonzalo Omar Basile in their upcoming fight. Sure Browne SHOULD win but he's at the stage where a loss in a fight like this wouldn't be all that shocking.

* Aust / NZ boxer will have two more qualifying events for Tokyo next yr. They are Aust
/ Oceanic qualification tournament China in Feb and at a world qualification event in Paris in May.
* 3 x Muay Thai World Champion Victor Nagabe is eying a Dec bout with Daniel Lewis on
Tszyu PPV card Dec. DL is having a tune up fight on Fri and same with VN on Oct 18.
Like the first two Wildfighter cards which were streamed live it seems this card will be
streamed live also with Jason Whateley headlining and Bomber Wells also fighting.

* Sandgroper Mark De Mori who is 7 - 0 7 ko since moving to Croatia 2 1/2 yrs ago is
shaping up to fight Kubrat Pulev Nov 9 . KP is mandatory for winner of Ruiz vs Joshua

Looking forward to that Asia & Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament in February. The semi-finalists at SHW will all go straight through to the Olympics. Can't wait to see Justis Huni in with either of the finalists from the World Amateur Championships.

My sense of Justis (no pun intended) is that he's a genuine H/W prodigy. Someone who is phenomenally good at a very young age. I haven't seen one of those since a young Mike Tyson.

The one thing missing from the Australian boxing landscape atm is a genuine A-level guy to follow.

We might just have one in young Justis. I think he can win Olympic gold at Tokyo.

Good to see Daniel Lewis getting busy and potentially making an appearance on the Junior Tszyu promotion in December. He beats the former Muay Thai world champ.

Jason Whateley is another local fighter Justis Huni should be sparring with. He's got really good fundamentals & is of a similar standard to that world class Kiwi amateur H/W.

be in his son's corner and Fenech in Brubaker corner.

Getting King Kostya & Jeff Fenech involved will obviously help with publicity for the fight & make it a success. Certainly financially for both guys.

On Jack Brubaker as an opponent, I'm happy to see talented young Australians (and Kiwis) get these opportunities, as opposed to paying ridiculous money to overseas opposition who aren't necessarily going to perform any better & who don't bring anything to the table in terms of promoting the show.

I've never seen Jack Brubaker in a bad fight so I expect he will give a good account of himself in this one. Particularly with a big preparation behind him. Junior Tszyu will be doing well to stop him I think.

Kostya has only attended one of Junior's previous pro fights & that was his debut. I think Junior really felt the pressure that night & likely will again here.

I also think Junior Tszyu did a training camp in Russia with Kostya before the Wade Ryan fight. I seem to recall one report that Kostya may have poleaxed Junior in sparring "to show him what it's like". Junior was then dropped in the first round against Wade Ryan.

I'm not sure that kind of tough love is quite what's needed in preparing for a fight but we'll see how he goes. I think he needs to start making heads hit the canvas but I'm not sure he will in this one.

 

I disagree mate I think if Tszyu Jnr is going to score a KO it will be in this fight as Brubaker has struggled and was hurt by novice welterweights. Tszyu jnr is a big 154 and Brubaker is not very hard to hit and I doubt he will be able to take those snappy straight right hands that Tszyu will likely be landing cleanly for 10 rounds. Brubaker won't be able to hurt Tszyu and Tszyu will show him no respect and walk right through him.

 

* This is a major disappointment. The Spence vs Porter which was on Fox Guide
previously has now disappeared. However the Golovkin vs Derevyanchenko is now on PPV.
However i will give preference to our UFC Champ Whittaker fight and then the NRL GF on the same date.
* Daniel Lewis won his fight against his Fijian opponent after he withdrew with a shoulder
injury in 2nd rd. Lewis will in his next fight make his Top Rank and USA debut Nov 2.
* Bowie Tapou has retired because on injury.
* Ryota Murata still has no opponent for Dec 23 and WBA no 5 Micheal Zerafa name
remains in the mix.
* Dec 6 Tszyu PPV undercard taking shape. With Mateo Tapia , Tommy Browne and
Justin Hodges fighting.

Seeing the Welterweight division get unified has been a long time coming. Errol Spence & Shawn Porter have featured on Australian television several times recently so it's a little odd if it's not being shown. I don't have any appetite for the GGG PPV so that's another odd one.

Daniel Lewis to 4 and 0 with 3 kayos & a US debut imminent. Noted.

I hope Michael Zerafa gets the 23 December world title shot. It would be a very tough fight for him over there but it would be good to see him in with the Olympic champ. He's got plenty of experience travelling overseas to fight so will no doubt use it to good effect if given the opportunity.

Interesting that Tommy Browne is on the Junior Tszyu undercard. He may be in the frame as The Toolman's next opponent after Jack Brubaker.

 

Murata will kick his ass if the fight happens. Lets be honest here. One sided mauling.

 

Zerafa having a fight wit Jerkic would do Zerafa a world of good .
