How is William Dibb fighting for a world title ? Who has he beaten to earn this title shot ?

 

It all harps back to the Area IBF champion I reckon Francis in this case it's the regional Australasian title I guess. weak as heck but these blokes win a local title and it's straight through to the bucks. can't fault Billy really he's just playing the game , years ago if a tidy Aussie won his national title or was commonwealth standard ( when the commonwealth title was a tough titke to win ) blokes like Noel Thornburg / Mr Mundine snr for example then they were imo real contenders here in the northern hemisphere it ain't so easy these days that's why Uk fighters for example don't get found out on the world stage often as opposed to your guys in general sure there are exceptions but in general the world sees an Aussie fella and know immediately the hard yards to their shot ain't been covered.

 

I think we've got some good young talent coming through but it's correct to say they need to be developed properly if they're ever going to deliver anything at the pointy end of the sport.

I'm looking forward to following their progress though & so far it's been a fun ride. Anyone who didn't enjoy Super Hooper v Dungbeetle Quinlan is following the wrong sport.

It's important to enjoy the journey & not just the destination. You might not like the destination so take as much enjoyment from the journey as you can.

To that end, Junior Tszyu goes again next Thursday night with Brubaker matched tough in the main event.

I'm looking for a double victory for Australia. We've got the Maloney boys this weekend as well.

Billy Dib fight is set to go ahead in Sydney at Luna Park on either 28 July or Aug 4.
Jeff Horn and his wife and baby will leave Brisbane on 30 May for Las Vegas for the June 9 clash with Crawford.
Everlast Powerlock gloves which Horn has donned for his last 10 fights will now be used for the Crawford fight.
Renold Quinlan has suffered a injury to his right hand and is sidelined for the moment.

Horn's head is much harder than the gloves, horse hair or not, his elbows, low blows, wrestling, wonder if SOB Ward is teaching him how to cheat like a pro? He should pay SOB to tell the judges, ref, boxing commission to give the fight to Horn, that's they SOB way.................

Jeff Horn right hand has already dropped two sparring partners and will end Crawford undefeated reign his trainer Glen Rushton has said. Horn is determined to have Crawford on the back foot from the first punch. Horn has said psychology its important to land the first shot and i am naturally bigger than Crawford . I got 3 - 4 kg on him.
Horn sparring partner Ray Robinson the last man to defeat Crawford as am has arrived and will begin sparring on Thurs.
Rohan Murdock has signed with Dennis Hogan 154 WBO no 2 promoter DDP.

The owner of T2T boxing is Tom Watt. He is originally from Scotland before moving to Aust in 2012. Tom started T2T with the goal of raising the profile of the sport in Aust and giving people accessibility to the local fighters.

 

I thought Rohan Murdock was with Duco/Top Rank? Perhaps nothing was happening on that front. It seems like there may have been a falling out between Duco & Top Rank in any event (over Horn v Crawford).

DDP Sports I think are the crew who put on that good promotion in Brisbane recently (the one with Hogan, Hooper, Quinlan & Tszyu on it).

 

Do you know if Dud Crawford will be using his own biased American commentary team for this one, Farmy?

Will Teddy Atlas be making an appearance on ESPN, sticking a microphone under Horn's nose after Dud gets kayoed and saying "lucky punch"?

 

On May 20 Sun Adonis Stevenson vs Babou Jack fight will be shown on Fox Sports 503 live from 10 .00 am to 2.00 pm. Sydney time.
Main event has also announced Horn fight against Crawford will be broadcast live in Aust on PPV on Fox Sports 507. The big UFC 225 with Rob Whittaker headlining will be screened on the usual Main Event 521 same date.
Also a public send off at the Caxton Hotel next week Wed 6.00 pm for Jeff Horn.
Big fight card on May 26.
