Surprisingly, quite a few have ventured across the ocean & down to the deep south.

The Waters' boys fought there quite a bit, including on televised shows from Wrest Point Casino. I think at the time it was one of only two casinos in the country.

Not so surprisingly, Daniel Geale fought there quite a bit also. He was originally from Tasmania & made the list above.

Not showing a lot of confidence there.

Horn is the former world titlist..12 rounds should be a breeze right?

Unless Horn is bringing a trinket to the table, then asking for a rematch clause is unjustified. Sure he's bringing a bigger crowd than Tszyu, but after the life and death Zerafa debacle he's hardly in a position to dictate such terms. It's a crossroads fight for both guys and Horn has to prove himself just as much as Tszyu. He's not an undisputed champ fighting a voluntary for Christ's sake.

Horn is Dean Lonergan's lone source of boxing income. He'll deign to keep it that way.

Dean Lonergan has a promotional interest in a number of very talented young Australian fighters several of whom are good enough to go on & at least fight for world titles.

If enough of them do that, some of them will win them.

He's also been contracted by Foxtel to deliver a regular series of promotions featuring the best young talent in the country in regular televised shows.

So I think he'll be around for the long haul irrespective of Horndog's fortunes.

Proves how doubting the Horn regime is a former world chanp doesn't want to go 12 against a young lion.. the 9th round syndrome possibly

Team Horn asking for 10 rounds is pathetic. Like Whatarock said Horn has been in more championship fights you would think he would wanna try and drown the young Tszyu in the later rounds. It just shows what I have already been saying, Horn has stamina issues he knows if his herky jerky rough house garbage doesn’t get his opponent out early that he will tire and fade and be target practice like he usually is in the 9th round. He is planning to bank the early rounds like he did in the Zerafa rematch with non stop holding and hitting and after the 6th just try to survive to the final bell relying on his judges to save him again.

Lonergan is a POS don’t know why anybody would sign with him he has burnt bridges with Top Rank and Eddie Hearn with his behaviour.

Seeing we are in Australain Open season..I guess you could say first set to Team Tszyu.

    Team Horndog shook.

It just occurred to me that the WA venue for the fight makes a lot of sense now. Horn trying to put Dannyweight like conditions on the fight already.

    Agreed.

This hypocrisy and his style is why I am not a Horn fan - supposed world class level yet has to stack the deck in national fights and barely squeaks by.

From what I have seen any decent national level boxer up lights Horn up if Horn is held to decent officiating.

Tim should see JWP and get some real tips on how to legally out grapple any roughhouse from Horn.

Hearing Liam Wilson is going to face Jesus Cuadro next. Massive step up if true.

J.W.P is the man for that great point Pira without dirty tactics Horn has nothing really special about his style I believe his resistance is diminishing also his stamina certainly inst world class he's done well for himself but all the money in the world is useless if you end up painting ducks on the wall and staring at them it's the media which have created this charade of Horn imo

There are other guys on this board with 20 years plus under their belt also, including myself, been following & fought ams both here and in europe for 24 to be exact but dont feel the need to use that to justify my opinion on the matter. Horns dirty as buggary and gets the canelo treatment in qld as he is australias biggest money spinner currently. We never gona agree on the Matter but thats all good. One thing for certain in boxing, the A side will always have the advantage at home, mayweather and canelo are perfect examples.
