Josh Kelly is future star. He should beat the tough but over matched Kris George. Kelly vs Brubaker would be in England. With Brubaker vulnerability to cuts i don't see the fight going to scorecards.
Will the Horn kid be the modern day version of the Geales kid ? Flukes a trinket belt then get humiliated on the world stage against a proper fighter. We've seen this many many times with these Australian kids.
Horn and team came into that with a good game plan, was not a fluke as much as as you wanna downgrade an Australian success
"The Man" turned 43 years old this Monday. Is he really planning on any more fights or going to exit on the high note vs. Browne in January?
Tommy for his part has fought twice since then and is planning on making a fourth ring appearance in 2018, set to be his swansong, August 18th in the McArthur region. Opponent TBA.
I wouldn’t be spruiking about that victory for Brubaker. You and the judges are the only ones who thought he won. Even Brubaker looked shock to get the decision.
Funeral service for Champion Troy Waters will be held at 2.00 pm Wed May 30 at Greenway Chapel and Memorial Gardens 460 Avoca Drive Greenpoint Central Coast. 1000 mourners are expected. LHW Regan Dessaix won the vacant IBF International and vacant WBA Oceania title with a ko of Ghanian Peter Alto Ricketts. Kevin Foley ko Gutram Ngoya. Glen Rushton Jeff Horn trainer says '' We haven't trained for a fight with Crawford , we have trained for a war. We are going to America to ko TC. We have to unbalance him physically and mentally and Jeff is ready to do that Jeff is 20 % better in his preparation for this fight than we had been before Pacquiao fight. TC is a brilliant boxer. He has all the skills. He can switch stances. He is equally effective going forward or backwards and has laser like precision with his punches. But at the end of the day he is just a man and in Horn he is up against a boxer who beat a legend last yr. Jeff has got the self belief , the boxing skills, a heart as big as Suncorp Stadium and a granite chin. U put that all together and Crawford is facing a pretty potent opponent.

Updated list of top Australian prospects having regard to the weekend's results: H - Joe "Goodnight" Goodall 2-0(2) CR - Fly Guy Jai Opetaia 15-0(12) LH - Damien "Super" Hooper 14-1 (9) SM - Rohan Murdock 22-1(16) or Bilal Akkawy 17-0-1(14) M - Diamond Dave Toussaint 13-0(8) JM - Tim "The Toolman" Tszyu 9-0(7) W - Kris George 14-1(8) (Cth champ) or Jack Brubaker 14-2-1(7) JW - Liam Paro 14-0(10) L - George Kambosos Jr 14-0(8) JL - Paul Fleming 25-0(17) Fe - Nathaniel May 19-1(11) or Luke Jackson 16-0(7) JFe - TJ Doheny 19-0(13) B - Jason Moloney 17-0(14) (Cth champ) JB - Andrew Moloney 17-0(10) (Cth champ) Fl - Brock Jarvis 13-0(12) None of them fighting this coming weekend (that I know of) but the show in Melbourne on Friday night features a couple of good match-ups: Blake Caparello v Trent Broadhurst at LH & Michael Zerafa v Wade Ryan at JM. I'd like to see Super Hooper in with both Caparello & Broadhurst. Good, tough development fights for him if he's good enough. Zerafa is the Commonwealth Junior Middle champ although I'm not sure if that title is on the line against Wade Ryan. Wouldn't mind seeing him in with Tim Tszyu for the Commonwealth title next up. The form line with Wade Ryan as a common opponent will be interesting given how competitive he was against Tim the Toolman (although I think The Toolman has improved a bit since that fight).
No reason to have a memorial for Horn until after he is killed in the fight with Crawford. Horn does not belong in a boxing ring, he is a sitting duck, but wait until he is killed before having the memorial!
You can add to the list. Jayden Mitchell SMW 16 - 1 9 ko Dennis Hogan JMW 27 - 1 7 ko WBO no 2 Luke Jackson FW 16 - 0 7 ko Ben Savva WW 9 - 1 3 ko This content is protected This content is protected
I was going to leave the over-30's off the list which would have ruled out Mitchell & Jackson. I guess they're relatively young 30-somethings so back on now. Dennis Hogan, having fought for a world title & on the verge of another title shot, is more contender than prospect. Was impressed with Ben Savva on Thursday night but not yet convinced he's on quite the same level as the two I've listed. I'd like to see a rematch between Kris George & Jack Brubaker irrespective of the result in George's Commonwealth title defence in the UK. Would be nice if he successfully made that defence & it was for the Cth title.
