I used to absolutley roar my f arking sweade off @ Stifflers with his patriotic picks . he would have tried to convince me Horn was a shoe in at great odds . lmfao , Rip Stiffs . btw I'm gutted I didn't bet on my round prediction ffs always the way man .

 

Yeah I only got to have a few discussions with him but I could tell from that and all the positive things from people that new him like yourself that he was a top bloke

Obviously we are no boxing powerhouse especially currently but for our smaller population but we do ok, I highly doubt you would know much about aussie boxing outside the tiny amount you may have seen on TV.

 

Well, at least Horn is in the hospital instead of the morgue! This was a dangerous fight for Horn who is an untrained fraud, he could have been killed. Crawford should have gotten Horn out of there in the first round! We know one thing for sure, Uncle Bob will not let Crawford come near Spence or Porter. If Thurman comes out of retirement, Crawford will no fight him either unless he is still injured................the fight game is usually rigged, watch out for Uncle Bob!

Any chance of us keeping the Commonwealth welterweight championship this weekend?

I really like Kris George as a fighter.

He knows how to pull an upset.

I think he would need to show a far "hurter" butt to get anywhere near the level you managed to gain and maintain after Horn beat Manny...

Looking forward to this as I ain't seeing a lot of either fighter particularly Kris , Josh has been in with the more illustrious opppments of the two after only 5 pro bouts and I think that experience getting him the result via a tko about the mid stage mark say the 6/7th round . great to see both taking the commonwealth title seriously as Australians in particular have taken the easier regional titles route to bonified world title shots in more recent years with not so good returns . a strong commonwealth win will get Australian fighters better prepared for greater things imo . good luck both .

Demsey Mckean reminds of a 2018 version of another Queenslander southpaw Craig Peterson but a bigger, stronger harder hitting version. Interesting Demsey holds a dec win over Aust latest UFC MMA hot prospect Tai Tuivasa 3 rds .
SMW Bilal Akkaway manager mail was right and Golovkin vs Canelo rematch going ahead in Sept . Bilal is fighting Jul 29 and then is excepted to head to LA to be Canelo chief sparring partner. Lucas Browne is heading Bilal undercard and is fighting Nigerian Roger Izonritei.

 

Aust MW Champ Canberra David Toussiant has set his schedule for 2018. With a fight set for the nation capital Aug 17 and Nov 17 opponent TBA. The undercard for Capital Show 15 Aug is starting to take shape. ( subject to change and no particular order )
LHW Adam The Candyman Copland vs Jackson Donnelly - a clash of two unbeaten fighters.
FW Bianca Elmer vs Kori Farr - vacant female Aust FW Title.
MW Beau Hartas vs Mark Gadalela - this will be fireworks
A intriguing bout is Canberra based Englishman Daryll Hall making his pro debut. Hall hails from his hometown of County Durham in NE England where he is no stranger to combat sport being a underground boxing champ.

I thought Kris George was well & truly in it through 5 (notwithstanding the commentators' assessment) but he faded badly at the end of round 6 & had nothing in round 7.

 

British commentators are at an all time low (that and the ******ed football crowd singing Sweet ****ing Caroline for the 63rd ****ing time of the night ) it does my sweade in , it's got to the stage now where I listen with the sound muted and the radio on five live . your man Kris showed some stones and it turned into an all in old fashion commonwealth tussle of a high standard ( a standard that can only be of a benefit to BOTH fighters ) imo ..fighters of Kris's level can come again anytime . bring on that other kid you got down under who's name escapes me at the moment.

 

Our two best welters are Jeff Horn & Lenny Zappa. That's actually a fight I'd like to see. It wouldn't make Horn the kind of money Mundine would but I think it would be a good development fight for him. He would really have to work for it & would learn plenty along the way. If he beats Zappa (I think he would, he's got less mileage on the clock & is fresher), he moves onto someone like Jessie Vargas.

Kris George & Jack Brubaker are the two next best welters. George is a bit bigger & stronger than Brubaker. Would like to see those two rematch even if there's no Commonwealth title on the line. I thought George was handling Brubaker okay in their first fight but plenty of others saw it the other way. Brubaker is the guy who fought Tyrone Nurse recently.
