I see that Tim Tszyu is continuing his bum of the month tour. Very disappointing replacement for Sam Colomban.
Those regional belts are the undoing of southern hemisphere boxing Prow it's quiet feasible to knock out a Thai rickshaw operator one week and be fighting for a bonefide World title a few months later .
Seems George will be on the Pac-Mathysse card. Di Bella really stepping it up for George he is now fighting JR Magboo who is currently ranked 242 in the world. Still its better than 500.
100% It seems like Tszyu is just following the same pattern as other Aussie no hope's which is a shame.
As an Irishman, with Carl Frampton about to ko another Aussie no hoper, I have to ask... How come Australia can't produce decent boxers? A sports mad country, punches above its weight in many other sports, yet Aussie boxers are just awful. Why is this?
Mate the guy Jackson beat to get his genuine world title shot was a thai lad with the record of 7/10/0 . ridiculous. someone is going to get seriously damaged or worse .
yep Brubaker was the one I was thinking of and I was hoping for big things off Lenny a few years back .a great naturally talented fighter .
Whatever about a refined gentleman a game like cricket you'd think a nation founded by convicts would produce good fighters..... Have ye gone soft or something?
Don't know why there's an Irishman in here shooting his mouth off. We've turned out two undisputed world champions & a guy who went undefeated winning three world titles in three different weight divisions (should have been four) in the last 30 years. And there's been a steady stream of B-level guys behind them. For a country half a world away from the two most competitive boxing markets in the world (the US & Europe) I'd say that's pretty good going by any standards. How many undisputed world champions (guys who unified all the major belts in a single weight class) or three division world champions has Ireland turned out over the same period?
