    * Change of plans was going to watch the Melb Test Match but this is late notice.
Live boxing on Fox 507 from midday AEST .
David Morrell Jr vs Mike Gavronski
James Kirkland vs Juan Macias Montiel
    * Tszyu apart from Zerafa has cleared out the domestic division and the only challenge is Dennis Hogan. With Tszyu on the verge of Title shot it would be dangerous to fight the spoiling Hogan who was going to fight J Rock in Dec before he got COVID 19.

The State of the Game in Australia as I see it. I only considered blokes who have fought this year.

    1. Timmy Tool Train 17-0 (13) - Posted standout wins in two stadium fights in two different states. His PPV with Horndog sold as many buys as what Jermell Charlo's Jr Middleweight triple crown unification fight did in the US & that show featured 5 world title fights. Junior is the King of Australian boxing but #### will get real if Castano takes the title off Teixeira & comes out here to fight him.
    2. Justis Huni 2-0 (2) - If the Tool Train is the King of Australian boxing, this bloke is the Fresh Prince. He's the second biggest attraction in the country already & the Olympics is potentially a platform that sends him over the top. The lively opposition they've matched him with in his first two fights has helped showcase his talent & will better prepare him for the Olympics than the over the hill big names they have lined up.
    3. Gorgeous George 19-0 (10) - Doesn't really have a domestic following in Australia which is problematic if they want to put the Teo Lopez fight on here. They will need the blokes above him on this list to draw a crowd.
    4. Andrew Moloney 21-1 (14) - Was upgraded to WBA regular champ status & then proceeded to lose the belt to Franco. Should have won it back but it looks like third time will need to be a charm.
    5. Jai Opetaia 20-0 (16) - Stalled on the launch pad. Covid-19 & then a hand injury have set him back.
    6. Jason Moloney 21-2 (18) - Two world title fights, two losses. By comprehensive drubbing last start.
    7. Liam Wilson 8-0 (6) - Very talented but a question mark over his chin. Let's see him clean out the domestic ranks & then go after a world title shot.
    8. Brock Jarvis 19-0 (17) - See the comment above. Impressive performance in his only appearance for the year last start.
    9. Cesar Mateo Tapia 12-0 (7) - Can't build a following in this country if no-one gets to see him fight. Plenty of good domestic opposition out there who he needs to be facing.
    10. Liam Paro 19-0 (12) - Only began facing fighters with winning records consistently six fights ago. Fights with either of those two boys who put on the fight of the year a couple of weeks back would raise his profile.

Fighter of the Year - Timmy Tool Train. Runner up - Justis Huni. Honourable mention - Gorgeous George.
Fight of the Year - Darragh Foley W 10 (SD) Ty Telford. Runner up - Jacob Ng TKO 5 Hunter Ioane.
Win of the Year - Timmy Tool Train TKO 8 Horndog. Runner up - Gorgeous George W 12 (SD) Lee Selby.
Knockout of the Year - Timmy Tool Train TKO 1 Bowyn Morgan - "Kiwi down!"

    * IBF no 4 Jai Opetia is on the cust of a World Title shot with the news IBF no 3 SA Kevin Lerena is fighting for the inaugural WBC Silver Bridge weight Title ( 224 lbs ) vs Bilal Laggoune. IBF no 2 and 3 spot is vacate. There was talk of Opetia fighting both these fighters and Opetia who has spoken of a future move to HW might instead fight the winner.
    * Bruno Tarimo will drop down to 122 lbs . BT has some impressive Aust scalps at 130 lbs and will be hard to beat in this division.

    exactly!
there are plenty of hypocrites on here.
some people go on and on about how classy zerafa is as a person and how respected and blah blah blah he is and here he is going to beat up a corpse of a corpse of mundine and not a word is said.

these r the same fools that boast about how they always tell it how it is, lol.

Solid rankings as usual mate and here's to an even better year next year for our fighters, only 1 i can't agree with was Huni at #2.
I'm as high on him as anybody and he's easily top 1-2 based on potential but don't believe he's done anything to deserve to be so high ahead of guys like Kambosos jr,Moloney and even Opetai imo.
This time next year however after he wins gold in Tokyo combined with couple more wins as a pro and he will be definitely up among top few.

Talent, potential & achievement were my criteria. I thought Justis had some worthy achievements for the year:

    - Qualified for the Olympics by making the final of the Asia & Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament.
    - Won the Australian professional H/W title on debut. Something that's never been done before.
    - Beat an undefeated medalist from the 2017 World Amateur Championships in his second pro fight.

As an overall body of work, I think those achievements compare favourably with those of anyone else.

I'm a massive supporter of the amateur scene, even if i haven't been to as many events as i usually would the last couple years but there is levels to this sport mate as you know,i'm not knocking those achievements or your opinion at all,i just don't think it compares at all to the achievements of those i had mentioned.
I understand your appreciation for him but i'm almost positive you had him in a similar position last years rankings, despite having done less then this year, again over people who had fought for world titles and against the very best pro fighters in the world.
