Absolutely farcical from NSW Combat Sports. Surely all this is tucked away at the weigh in. You’re either registered or you’re not.

Also a very confusing situation the way it's worded in that Tweet - did the cancellation come because of the fight in the crowd, or because Sakio didn't have his papers in order?

I thought they did away with the "blue book" a couple of years ago.

Maybe its still the lingo to call it that.

Breaking news on the Stifler's Mum thread!

Timmy Tool Train the new #1 contender for Brian Castano's WBO Junior Middleweight crown.

Brisbane, Queensland to host the 2032 Olympics. Let's hope there's lots of Queenslanders officiating at those Games, including the boxing.

We'll win so many gold medals with Queensland judges we won't know what to do with them all.

An Olympics for Brisbane in 2032 will be sensational. I'll be retired by then. Just hope I'm still alive & can get some tickets.

Stifler's Mum thread official gathering at the Olympic boxing finals in Brisbane in 2032.

I went down to sydney for the 2000 olympics as i thought may be only time in my lifetime would get to go and was an awesome couple of weeks and i cant wait for 2032 if we do actually get it.
I remember those games being a boost for most of the sports and hopefully we see same again for sports like boxing and get a few quality medal hopes.

I am seriously looking forward to it already. One of the regrets of my lifetime is not making it to the Sydney Olympics. I put in for tickets for all the significant athletics finals & missed out. I nearly applied for the boxing finals but b/c you had to pay up front & the boxing tickets were $500 a pop for a ringside seat, I didn't apply for them. I'd forked out heaps for athletics finals. The athletics finals of course were way over-subscribed & I missed out. Cathy Freeman ran on my birthday. The irony is I would have got boxing tickets had I applied for them. They weren't over-subscribed. I even missed out on seeing the torch relay which went straight past my office window. I was sent to Adelaide or Melbourne that day for work & didn't get to see it. I won't be missing out in 2032 if I'm still around & can walk.

I went and saw the women's beach volley ball in 2000 as a wee lad barely in my teens.

    I have no regrets.

I unfortunately didnt go to ant athletics but saw plenty of sports including couple of the early sessions of boxing and got photos etc with few top pro fighters who were ringside like Holyfield.
Even at those venues where people just watched the events on live tv where awesome aptmosphere especially swimming when we wete winning all them golds

What's the Aussie/Kiwi debrief on the Parker-Fa fight?

I wasn't able to watch the whole thing start the finish, missed a few rounds here and there.
Im not sure i want to go back and watch the whole thing from what I heard and saw for myself.

It really baffles me as to why it was broadcasted around the world on Dazn but wasn't in Australia.

If it's a ballot system again, I'll put in for all the swimming & athletics finals & the two-days of boxing finals. Attending an Olympics & seeing us win an Olympic boxing gold medal are a couple of to-do's for me before I depart this earth.

I'm hoping Justis Huni can take care of one of them for me this year but his recent setback has lowered my expectations. Still hopeful though.

It's supposed to be a summer Olympics of course but it will be held in the middle of an Australian winter (July - August). The weather in Brisbane is sensational at that time of the year though so it will be a great event to attend. It will be good to follow an American Olympics as well.

People will appreciate the international perspective Australia has in terms of recognising performances of athletes from other countries.

I don't think the take-up rate of DAZN in Australia is very good. So if they want their product out there in the market & money coming in, Foxtel/Main Event it is.

I thought Parker looked pedestrian but a win's a win. He moves onto another winnable fight in Chisora.

Fa would have been a lot harder to beat with more experience under his belt.

If you read back through the round by round, you & I both thought Fa had a decent chance at the mid-way point in the fight. Not enough meaningful offence from him thereafter though.

Both would be good opponents for Justis Huni. As would Julius Long & Hemi Ahio. At least you know Long John Silver is going to turn up & have a go. Feel sorry for David Nyika. His opponent didn't even manage that.
