* Lenny Zappavigna is a smokey to face Tim Tszyu if Zerafa or overseas opponent fall through. Zapp was in neg late last yr to fight Tim Tszyu before Bowyn Morgan stepped in. * Faris Chevalier now ranked WBA no 6 at 175 lbs and targeting WBA Champ Jean Pascal.
Not surprised to hear that Lenny is in the frame for Timbo Slice. I really would like to see him get that big payday in this country to finish off his career. I think the sport owes him that for many years of dedicated service, including on the international stage. He didn't quite manage to get the big payday overseas so he should get it here. The only fights that are going to deliver that for him here are Junior Tszyu or a returning Horndog. Horndog has retreated into his kennel up in Queensland without a yelp so if that fight isn't on the horizon it means catching a ride on the Tool Train. I think Lenny has valuable skills and experience that Junior would benefit from experiencing, but I would like to have seen Lenny get a couple more wins under his belt so he goes into the fight with a bit more momentum behind him. The end result will be another win for Junior although Lenny might show a bit more early than Junior's last couple of opponents. I reckon the international opponent they are negotiating with is Danny Garcia. A world class welter who is promoted & managed by PBC/Al Haymon. It's good that Junior's crew has broken bread with them even if Garcia doesn't come out here next up.
I don't particularly want to see an undersized Lenny Z get beaten to a pulp by Tszyu would much rather see Tszyu fight Zerafa and maybe Lenny Z v Ben Horn to smoke Jeff Horn out of his rat hole in Queensland.
Same here. Since posting, I saw an interview that suggests they are very keen on getting Junior an international opponent. I'd be happy with Danny Garcia or Liam Smith (even if he loses to Kurbanov). Another couple of wins & a cash-out fight with a good referee is what I'd like to see for Lenny.
With a good referee I reckon Lenny Z beats Horn. I doubt Horn is interested the fight doesn't really do anything for him and not really a big pay day I also doubt Horn would ever fight at 147 again.
Danny G seems like an odd choice atm. Certainly a great scalp to have on your resume if he could get the win. But he surely would come with a heavy price tag.
Lenny has fought at Junior Middle before. I think that's where a fight with Horndog would have to take place.
He's who the media have mentioned more than once. He's still very good but perhaps his run against the top welters in the US has come to an end & he's looking for the most lucrative fights he can get before finishing up. I think he'd be the best opponent Junior has been in with. Not that it's necessarily him who they're after. We'll have to wait & see.

Totally normal thing to say after schooling a journeyman for the first two rounds. Browne is dodgy, and it seems like you're right up him.
Leti the Yeti punches pretty hard. I thought one of the impressive things about Conor Wallace's performance against him was that he was hit quite a bit & withstood it. I probably wouldn't match an up & comer like Tapia with someone who punches that hard. As with Conor Wallace, I think Tapia is the better talent & prospect, but getting a win against the Yeti might be a bridge too far at this point. I'd certainly watch though if they put it on.
Do you spend much on tinfoil? He regularly asks for the towel in between rounds. The towel that sits in an ice bucket and cools him down.
