@ipswich express might have some insight into the nitty gritty of these things ..not this specific example but the general headaches associated with negotiating a fight.

That all said no one would pass up an opportunity to take on the current golden goose of Aussie boxing. Especially if you are confident of defeating him.
And especially knowing a last minute pull out would not only lose you are decent payday but destroy your future earning potential as much if not more so than a L.

I’m wondering if they’re working on Murata in the background? I haven’t heard anything and I’m perhaps adding two and two and getting five.

Horses for courses but Japan still averaging 1000+ cases a day of Covid though and Mikey boi would definitely be quarantining after heading there.

Wasn';t there an article 3-4 weeks ago he had some mystery virus or something? maybe he just got too far back in his training schedule and covid came up at the right time.

Poor Mikey. The news cycle moves quick these days, people will forget pretty soon but it will obviously follow him around a while.

Amonsot vs. Ah See and Wilson vs. Noynay are both more than moderately interesting, to me.

The article urging Timbo Slice to go to America doesn't take into account that he was regularly doing so (two weeks, twice a year) pre-Covid. A week at Mayweather's gym (where the sparring wasn't all that but they taught different techniques) & the second week at Freddie Roach's gym (where the guys who were there would try to knock his head off). So part of what they are urging him to do was already happening.

As for fighting name Americans (or Brits or Euros), I agree it needs to start happening but I don't agree that he needs to do it in their backyards. Do it here & keep the momentum going. The only thing he's likely to pick up fighting in other people's backyards (apart from Covid) is an L. Fight where people want to see you fight, not where the American media tells you to fight would be my advice.
