* Skye Nicholson making pro debut March 5 San Diego . * Leti Leti has vacated Aust LHW Title. * Floyd Masson returns March 4. * Jackson Murray returns March. * Austin Aokosi vs Ricky Silva for QLD LHW Title.
Pope v Sokolov likely moved back a week. Coolwell/Whateley Fox Sports double header mid March. Hearing Team Opetaia might be looking to bring an experienced head into the corner for his upcoming title tilt.
* Skinny Hussein say's Willis Meehan is back in training and hoping to fight March. Skinny who is a good mates with Mick Akkawy Kambosos Jr trainer when in Aust say's that GK next fight will be most likely Loma in the States promoted by Arum. * Breidis vs Opetia pushed back to early April because of SBW vs Hall. * Skye Nicholson debut will be on the undercard of Estrada vs Gonzalez trilogy.
As much as I would love to see George ice that email chance next . Loma vs GKJ is the fight I prefer. I think George's profile is just a little short of the "selling out stadiums" dream he has. Other factors including this current COVID outbreak and competing sports like AFL and NRL wouldn't make it feasible just yet. Because they would have to have it on a Sunday arvo..couldn't be a mid week backslapper draw because of US T.V A win over an ageing Loma in the States solidifies his status worldwide and I think he could easily fill up a Bankwest or Marvel coming off a win over a future legend. Only thing is I'm very confident of George chasing down and beating up the overrated Haney anywhere he likes. But I actually give Loma a 60-40 shot of taking it against Kambo..but I hope to be proven wrong if it comes off.
Will be disappointing if George doesn't get an Australian fight. He's earned it but more important is that he gets paid what he should be for becoming undisputed champ. I like the Haney fight for him b/c I think he wins it out here & he can then go back to the US for the Loma fight. For the fight to make money out here though presumably Main Event need to be flogging PPVs. If they're not involved, it makes things tough. With regards to the other news, Willis Meehan back in action is welcome. Great potential Justis Huni opponent right there. I don't mind Jai Opetaia's world title shot getting pushed back if it gives him an opportunity to take another fight but that's probably wishful thinking on my part. Looking forward to a few announcements regarding our top guys to get the year started. Everything's been cancelled or pushed back so far.
* Huni vs Goodall back on in early June with Huni vs Leutele still on for early April on Opetia vs Breidis undercard. * Mckean vs Arg Esteban Bracamonte Feb 27. * Nikita Tszyu fight announced next week .
Would be good if Joe could get on the undercard aswell. Only 2 rounds under his belt since he came back from his own injury and if he was out till June thats well over a year between fights.
Just a fantasy fight that might not be so fantastical in the near future. Padraig McCrory vs Cesar Mateo Tapia How do you think it goes gents? Both ranked top15 by the WBA at supermiddle. One common opponent I can see. Steve Collins Jr. Tapia iced him in one, McCrory had to rally to stop him in 8. Both linked to MTK/Probellum.
* Can't wait for the NRL season to start . This is a welcome late addition to the weekend. * This Sun Eubank Jr vs Williams 6.30 AEST and Thurman vs Barrios 1.00 pm free Main Event ( Ch 521 ) .
Thats great news jupps. Looking forward to some Aussie fights getting finalised soon. It's been a bit light on and it's felt like a long summer.
