Tim Tszyu will face Terrell Gausha on the undercard to Charlo v Castano II.

Gausha shown lately he is below the best contenders but not done by any stretch.

Seems to have found a punch and developed a bit of mongrel.
Has a great right hand lead and counter, solid defence and nothing to suggest a weak chin.

Certainly some risk here for Tim, seeing he all but has a title shot sewn up. But he needs to show he can beat guys of this level.

I wonder is Tszyu Gausha will be the chief support bout on the card?

    You would surely think so.
He must be taking a bit of a pay cut.

He probably makes more per fight than Castaño or Charlo on the backslapper circuit.

I think that flop Rolly Romero was the chief support the last time.

Yes, with the idea of putting him in front of US viewers. Good move but a risk for sure.

Hardman v Zerafa will likely get sanctioned for the IBF #2 spot. Both boxers are rated in the IBF.

How we think this one goes down lads?

I actually think Zerafa matches very well with Hardman and I'm slightly siding with him, especially if it's being held in the People's Republic of Victoria.

He has a well tested chin and is a grizzled vet.
Mr In-between is a great prospect, and the bigger man but has virtually no defence and fights a little overconfident because his level of opposition has probably allowed him that luxury.

Only thing is there can be a fine line between a grizzled vet and a fighter who has to many miles on the odometer. Maybe this is the fight where that starts showing with Mick, maybe it isn't.

I like Hardman and likely by stoppage. Somewhere between 6 and 10. Hardman fights with an intensity and pressure that Zerafa will hate. He's going to have to use a lot of energy keeping Hardman off of him.

Not @buster007nie. I've met our man on street & definitely not him. The bloke who rang in obviously considers himself to be very knowledgeable though but can't countenance the possibility that opinions other than his own may be closer to reality. If people want reality, they need to keep it right here. On the Stifler's Mum thread. That's all we deal in irrespective of how painful it may be. The way they were carrying on is as though Gausha is a no-hoper who doesn't belong in the same boxing ring as Tim. No mention of him being a 2012 US Olympian which was an accomplishment as an amateur that Tim didn't achieve. And he did it fighting in a much tougher system than what our blokes have to endure. Since then, he's had a 10-year pro career, has faced better opposition than Tim, has fought for a world title & never been stopped inside the distance. If those aren't solid credentials for a Junior Middle, I don't know what is.

Really good fight. Like seeing the two top guys in the weight division in this country being willing to face each other. An IBF #2 World ranking for the winner would be a great reward. Would like to see the winner take on that Russian Kiwi before fighting an eliminator or taking a title shot though. Clean out the local region after being crowned the best in this country.

Who wins? Don't know. I like the Headsplitter's natural physical strength, punching power & toughness. He doesn't get flustered when under fire either. Well, hasn't to this point. He's also been very active. Both in terms of recent fights & sparring. Those are a couple of big plusses. Zerafa has those long arms, good skills & world class experience. None of that is to be sneezed at. I think Zerafa might have a bit of extra class that will play a role in the fight at some point. How long for may determine the outcome.

Very interesting fight. I'm glad the winner is going to receive such a high world ranking as a reward for taking it.

Someone will be taking a haircut but I'm not sure it will be Timmy. A lot of the income would be PPV via Main Event. Timmy would presumably still, along with Main Event itself, be collecting the lion's share of that. Tim's official purse might be quite small but if Australian PPV money gets added to that figure it would be substantial. It's his local promoters who will be left out in the cold b/c it's not their show. The sweetener for them though is that it looks like they now have exclusive rights to promote TOT - The Other Tszyu.

When it was originally announced that Nikita was turning pro, they made a point of saying he hadn't signed a promotional agreement with anyone. That would presumably have left him as a free agent to fight on anyone's show & allowed him to potentially pursue a different career path to Tim. He's now apparently signed with No Limit so there's been a change of heart there. With Timmy heading overseas, TOT will be given clear air to headline domestic shows here.

Remember them saying Nikita was better of the 2 before Tim turned pro so will be interesting to see.
Any opponent yet for Willis meehan? Plenty of sparring clips around of him rocking his partners he looks ready
