I am predicting that the giraffe Fundora will be shattering Lubin's glass jaw and eliminating him from the equation at 154
Matet talking some nice smack at the presser. I wasn't impressed with Garside's pro debut he will need to be ready because Matet has an awkward style with good reflexes this fight will be interesting. I am looking forward to seeing Hass Hamden in action as well Fenech reckons he has the goods.
Instead he will be carrying a doggy bag with the remains of his shattered glass jaw that they sweep up from the canvas.
Happy anniversary to my Aussie pals after 4 years lets check the Stifler's Mum's P4P rankings 1. @MidniteProwler 2. @Francis75 3. @KelandBeave 4. @WhataRock 5. @Sandman_ 6. @sparta 7. @juppity 8. @Inglis_1 9. @ipswich express 10. @Dangerwood84
The local who I reckon would be best suited to imitating Castano, if he was in fighting shape, is Horndog. Only an inch difference in height, similar physical strength & he's capable of applying pressure. Too bad he's not active & appears to have checked out. If he wants to resume, there's a pathway back for him at Junior Middle. Start with Wade Ryan, then go after Joel Camilleri or Jack Brubaker in a trainer grudge match, then face Dennis Hogan or Michael Zerafa to qualify for a world title shot. Too easy, Campese. Dennis Hogan's showing against Mexican Mungo was partly due to the strong sparring Horndog gave him.
On paper, it's a 50/50 fight. I think Lubin is currently the best of the Americans after Charlo but the Giraffe could prove otherwise. The winner becomes WBC mandatory & Interim champ at Junior Middle with the WBC so he may elect to sit on his ranking. Lubin isn't a particularly attractive opponent for Charlo given the way he was beaten last time so perhaps he'll be up for facing one of the other mandatories to strengthen his hand. Can't say I want to see Tim in with the Giraffe. The Giraffe has already retired one of our best talents. Don't particularly want to give him a chance to knock off another. I'm hoping Tony Harrison gets past Sergio Garcia. If he does, he'll likely be next up for Timbo Slice. A Sergio Garcia win isn't a good result for us b/c I doubt Showtime in America will want to spend money on fights between Australians & Spaniards. We need a good American opponent for Timbo next up. One who stands a chance of beating him in order to pull in television viewers.
Good stuff, @buster007. Glad to know the Stifler's Mum thread flag will be fluttering at ringside on the day of the fight. Don't forget to save a seat for @MidniteProwler.
Around 7 o clock at night if my calculations are right. It s on at about 10-10:30 in the morning London time. Did I do it right lol?
We are an hour ahead of Japan Middy Cent. I have no idea when that card would kick off because the Japanese do their own thing. But if it was comparable to Australia where the main event is past my bed time or just after I start night shift then it would be 11pm or 12am I'd imagine.
