We’ve reached out to Masson’s team in the past and got the “not right now thanks”. Who knows, maybe down the line…
David's ko. Looked like a right to the temple followed by the right knock out blow. A good scalp as the Cuban was WBO15, and Light was WBO14. Always a bonus when beating a ranked opponent. He'll be in line for an eliminator if he keeps this up,
One of the funny comments in Spanish on the video was "the chocolate melted" It seems they thought highly of this kid and Light was brought in to vault him into contender status. But like Richie McCaw at the breakdown he snuffed out his hopes of momentum.
O don't know if Light can become a world champ, unless matched with a weaker opponent, but I can see him challenging for one, especially if Okolie moves up. That'll open things right up. Okolie is a tough task for anyone in the UK not named Briedis, Usyk or Gassiev. Light should be gunning for Koelling next. Opetaia is way up the WBO list so Light does nothing for him. No one is aussie knows David Light. Light was WBO15 sorry, Martinez 14.
Lol dude I was about to post some of those translations. Read them all. Some were like : "he's eating ham and cheese sandwiches and has the body of a salmon" or something to that effect.
Enjoyed the fights last night. Australia rules the boxing world on a Wednesday night (our time). Sure, the rest of the world is fast asleep but they don't know what they're missing out on. Commiserations to Gal on the loss. He nearly managed to Rocky Balboa it in the 9th. He's given another young bloke a chance to make a name for himself though & that's really his biggest contribution to the sport. Boxing in this country is the closest it's been to being back in the mainstream since I've been a boxing fan. Galvatron has played a role in that. Plenty of talent on the undercard. I reckon there were three guys capable of fighting for world titles one day. Sam Goodman got dropped but importantly not badly hurt by a light puncher. I've thought the difference between he & the likes of Liam Wilson & Brock Jarvis is a sturdy chin but I guess it's a case of watch this space. Harry did his thing & is probably ready for some name opponents. Francis Chua (who fought earlier on the undercard), Kye MacKenzie & Jacob Ng would be good headline opponents for him. The Sandman likes seeing heads hit the canvas so it was The New Tszyu's cameo that was the highlight for me. I think it's going to be fun over the next couple of years watching him clean out the local Junior Middleweight ranks. I see him being 12 and 0 by the end of next year. Would like to see him in with the likes of Luke Woods, Troy O'Meley, Victor Nagbe & Danilo Creati before the year is out. Then onto Joel Camilleri, Wade Ryan, Koen Mazoudier, Ben Mahoney, Dennis Hogan & the Russian Kiwi next year. Tim-ber!
* Dennis Hogan in line to fight for a world title for a third time to face the winner of the postponed Erislandy Lara vs Garry O ' Sullivan fight. * Demsey Mckean hoping to return Aug. * Billy Dib now IBF no 6. * Gallen earned $ 5 million from boxing. * Victor Ngabe vs Wade Ryan in the works.
I am going with Charlo I think that Castano is compromised. If it was postponed because of shoulder surgery I can’t see how he will be 100%
