Shocking undercard, it's 8:50 and the main event is the only fight left, if I was at the venue I'd be peppering the ring with cups of beer.

Mediocre undercard but very good main event. Really enjoyed it. Justis Huni performed great coming off a 12 month layoff while I thought Joe Goodall was decent also despite the fact he wasn't winning rounds. You don't see those kind of fights in other countries. Two medalists from recent World Amateur championships who are undefeated as pros facing each other. And that's the second undefeated World Amateur championship medalist Huni has faced in his first six pro fights. That people on the other thread are throwing up international names for him to fight is testament to his talent but he needs to clean out the local ranks both here & in NZ before moving onto international opponents.

I wouldn't match him with Big Daddy Browne although I expect they will. Crazy to put him in with someone that dangerous. If Big Daddy lands the punch he landed on Junior Fa it could end a career.

Everyone else though I'd be confident he can beat. I'd be looking at Kiki Toa Leutele, Kris Terzievski, Willis Meehan & Hemi Ahio as his next four. Demsey McKean & Junior Fa if they're available.

Get him a dozen wins then look at international opponents.

Agreed. Crazy that Big Daddy is his biggest threat in Australia but it’s true

Danny didn't know where he was after that fight. Sean looked like he had just been through a rigorous Bikram Yoga sesh.

Tough as they come old Sean.

Yeah don't see the need to push Huni that quickly when he's fighting pretty decent opposition as it is so early in his career. I see no problem with him fighting some of the guys you mentioned going forward as he is developing quite nicely. His power is getting questioned but at the same time he is facing very durable opponents and is busting them up quite badly.

Is he going to the commonealth games? I really hope he isn't personally like how Nyika is. He's far too good for that level of boxing anyway.

I think Justis Huni stops most of the guys I mentioned so I doubt there will be much wrong with his kayo percentage after a dozen fights. Power is always nice to have for a H/W (or any division really) but it seems to me he hits solidly enough. Joe Goodall's face last night was testament to that. Jeff Fenech has led the chorus questioning Huni's power but Jeff was an accumulation puncher himself so it's all a bit silly. Let's see how many kayos Huni has after a dozen fights & then assess his power.

Huni's not going to the Comm games. If David Nyika is presumably it's b/c he wants another crack at the Olympics to try & turn a bronze into gold. Can't blame blokes for pursuing their dreams. I think Justis Huni was very fortunate David Nyika made himself available for sparring also. He's the kind of talent that bridges the gap between what Joe Goodall was sparring with in America & what Justis Huni had available to him domestically.
