Glad Huni is staying pro. Not fussed either with his lack of one punch power especially with his high output, and yes, Goodall was not only busted up top, but the body punches took its toll too so there is power there, just not one punch power which isn't the be all and end all. I'm certainly on the bandwagon myself and don't get a lot of the criticism that comes his way.

I really didn’t see it that way from ringside. Perhaps have to watch it again on tv. Thought Waitai got dropped off a left hook in the second, not sure why it wasn’t a knockdown. Had it 4-2 Gipp personally. Would like to see a rematch.

Enjoyed last nights fights. Felt the undercard was one fight short, which considering the time delay is a pretty obvious statement to make. Another decent six rounder would’ve been good.

Main event was a top fight. Credit to Goodall who came to fight and wore plenty of leather. Huni’s speed and angles are phenomenal for a big guy. My concern for him is that he’s happy to retreat to the ropes quite a bit. When he steps up his opposition further it might cause dramas.

Really excited to watch his continued development in the pro game.

Had it 58-56 Waitai myself. I could argue for a draw for Gipp but had Waitai outboxing him for most of it.

Could be a tricky fight for Mikhailovich next month.

why would huni want to avoid lucas browne?
it would be an easy fight for him compared to facing goodall.
willis meehan is our best heavy anyway. his career is going nowhere though facing tomato cans. i know nobody wants to fight him but his team are going to have to start paying for some decent opposition if they want it by the looks of it.

I don't think the Huni camp will avoid Big Daddy.

    I think they should though.

Why? I would respectfully refer that question to Junior Fa.

Willis Meehan is certainly a good talent. If he fights Justis Huni we'll find out how good.

If Ippy says Hearn has been in contact then maybe McKean-Browne might be more likely as it appears Dempsey will on the Aussie Matchroom card.

Definitely Lucas is in with a chance there as DM doesn't mind giving up his physical advantages to get in the trenches.

It will be interesting to see who Big Daddy fights next. Eddie Hearn's show is in September while I think they mentioned Justis Huni will fight again in August. I think Joe Goodall would be a good opponent for Demsey McKean. Fast Eddie can walk off into the sunset with the winner.

He was interviewed on Wednesday night. No mention was made of when or against whom he will be fighting next.

He did mention that he had signed with Dean Lonergan so it's likely he will reappear on one of his upcoming shows. The next one is scheduled for 2 July (Opetaia v Briedis) but he's not listed as fighting on it.

He called out Liam Wilson for a fight which would be good to see but Wilson is with a different promoter.

I was thinking that also. Why not make it next I am sure Big Daddy would be ready by September as they don't yet have an opponent listed for McKean.
