Some interesting tidbits there.

Joe Goodall v Solomon Houmono is a decent match-up. Good to see Goodall (pardon the pun) in with a recognizable name. I'm glad there's something on the Horn v Mundine undercard that will be worth watching.

Alex Leapai v Big Daddy is long overdue. Both guys would make good opponents for Goodall in the future if he keeps winning. Demsey McKean, Willie Nasio & Willis Meehan are other fighters I would like to see him in with. Perhaps even the Paul Gallen v John Hopoate winner as well (or both if it goes ahead & is a competitive fight).

Another guy who would make a really good opponent for Joe Goodall is Jason Whateley. That would be a battle of the Commonwealth Games silver medalists from the past two Cth games. So there's plenty of interesting domestic matches to be made in the heavyweight division if blokes are up for it. If they're all asking for silly money they won't happen but let's hope a few of them do.

I admire what those DDP blokes are doing. They put on the best promotion of the year a while back & are willing to give opportunities to up & comers who are not signed with them. There is a benefit to them in doing that b/c it makes their shows of a higher quality but of course it all costs money.

They've got Dennis Hogan & Rohan Murdoch who are their priorities but it's good for the sport overall to have them making the effort (and commitment in terms of money) to keep other talented fighters active with meaningful fights. Damien Hooper, Tim Tszyu, Jai Opetaia & Joe Goodall have all fought on their promotions this year.

The Nov 30 Clash will have Horn and Mundine hoping to split an $ 8 m purse and hoping
to beat the PPV of 200 000 buys of Mundine vs Green 1. There will be weight penalties
with Mundine agreeing to pay Horn more than $ 1 m compensation if he is more
than 2 kg above the agreed weight limit of 71 kg for the fight.
Both Horn and Mundine get to decide 4 fights each on the undercard. Unbeaten
140 lb Yousef Dib has been added to the card. Meaning Horn has 3 more picks
and Mundine one more.

Cheeky May IBF no 4 at FW to make his international debut Oct 20 in a 8 rd
fight in Belfast against Ruslan Berchuk in 8 rd fight Oct 5.

Jai Opetia fight in Belgium has been postponed until Dec 15 in with Jai
suffering a hand injury. Unfortunately due to IBF rules this means he can't fight
until his mandatory challenge is complete . This means he will not be considered
for the Horn vs Mundine undercard.
Liam Paro WBO no 6 at 140 lbs fight against German Robert Tlatik is a sellout
and Fox will be showing the Oct 13 fight. Hopefully this will be a big step
for Paro to facing Champ Maurice Hooker in the USA.
The Ace Promotion and Angelo Di Carlo has put a very solid undercard.
This is a step in the right direction with no Asians brought from overseas
to pad Aust fighter's records.

Kye Frenzy Mackenzie has been continually calling out George Ferocious Kambosos Jr.
But on his last performance its best Frenzy avoids Ferocious. Frenzy had to survive a
5th rd knockdown before halting Filipino Mark Bernaldez in a hard fought 7rd contest.
According to Boxred Bernaldez is the 16th ranked Filipino LW and Ferocious slaughtered
17th ranked JR Magoo in 2rds.
The undercard CW fight between Glen Austin and Rob Powdrill was nasty.
Austin downed but Powdrill hit him when down Austin given 5 min recovery
and then Powdrill deducted 2 pts . When bout resumed Powdrill was down
twice and RSC on 2nd knockdown in 1st rd. Powdrill stopped in last 3 fights two by ko
and for health reasons its best you retire.
