I thought Hogan was done after Tszyu smashed him but after seeing him beat Ryan I knew he could still handle limited plodders with his slick skill set

 

Yeah I thought I misheard when they read that.

Very good win by Dennis Hogan last night. I thought the other guy being a decade younger would have too much but not so. Hogan was deprived of a world championship belt to show the grand children after the Mexican Mungo fight so having some IBO bling in the trophy cabinet will be most welcome.

Won't be much longer before all the Junior Middleweight world championship belts on the planet reside in Australia. That win also officially opens our account in Australia versus the World. The scoreboard currently reads Australia 1, The World 0. I like our chances of making it 2 - nil when Liam Paro fights Brock Jarvis next week. And then 3 - blot with George v Devin Haney. We're going to need a bigger trophy cabinet.

Nikita Tszyu v Darkon Dryden was a decent scrap while it lasted. Both appeared physically strong & were heavy punchers. The Kaboose appeared to hurt Dryden badly towards the end of the third without dropping him & he didn't come out for a fourth. Good wins also for Sam Goodman & Darragh Foley to keep things ticking over. Cody Beeken was impressive posting a win at Middleweight against Lachie Higgins.

 

Glad to see Marcus Heywood given a go on the Kambosos v Haney card. He gave Mikhailovich a real tough time when they fought and was unlucky not to get the nod over Bowyn Morgan. Obviously he'll lose, but he's a solid journeyman to have around our region.

 

Hmmm. No Paulo Aokuso on the weekend show. Meanwhile his scheduled opponent, Faris Chevalier, is slated to face Kiwi Jerome Pampellone on the Justis Huni v Kiki Leutele promotion (good fight). It looks like @WhataRock may have landed closest to the pin in the speculation stakes.

 

Sure are a lot of Kiwis on the show on Sunday. Hoping we see a couple bounce off the canvas during the afternoon.

Hemi Ahio v Django should be a good stouch. Both are similar builds, like coming forward & are decent punchers. Interesting fight.

My favourite Kiwi, David Nyika, is on the show as well. Thought he looked pretty good last time out.

 

Yeah I'm looking forward to the Ahio fight. Would be suprised if it goes the distance.

 

Big weekends of fights lads.

Feel like neither card is getting much airtime. Though they are plugging Kambo-Haney on fox a little.

 

I am hoping that Kambosos Haney and Wilder Helenius don't start at the same time.

 

Plus we got Paro-Brock on DAZN.

I think Tapia-Mayweather will be a sleeper.

 

I reckon there could be a few upsets over the weekend. Brock Jarvis must be some sort of chance against Liam Paro. I expect him to apply plenty of pressure & he is potent offensively. I can't imagine he will die wondering. Good appetizer for the show the following day. I'm ready to go Undisputed again at Lightweight while I reckon Django is good enough to do something against Hemi Ahio. Plenty of other decent fights & fighters on those shows as well. Helenius against Deontay is a big outsider but a live one based on recent form.
