George has nothing else to prove in Aust. He would destroy Kyle Mackenzie. Hopefully George can become as popular as Michael Katsidis was and do Aust proud on the world stage.

Cameroon's 5 boxers from the Commonwealth Games have all done a runner.

They will probably be seen training in a gym near you very shortly. Just like the ones who did a runner back in 2006 were.

Australian Sakio Bika setting the bar for his former fellow countrymen and you can't blame these Athletes really as they probably all saw in the media what Sakio achieved , married a beautiful woman , nice family , millionaire etc if they are prepared to travel the world getting their heads bashed in then the world and possibly a world championship title could be in their future .

Can't say I know much about the defectors of 2018 yet, but I know the class of 2006 did okay for themselves without approaching what Sakio Bika achieved:

    Rivan Cesaire 16-5-1
    http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/497592

    Serge Yannick 17-4
    http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/387211

    Eric Anaba 3-7-3
    http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/361213

    Charles Njock 2-5-1
    http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/376692

Yannick won an Australian title. Cesaire still holds one and is the draw on Jeff Horn's record. Both had some handy wins.

Boxers from Rwanda, Uganda and Cameroon are thought to have gone missing from the Commonwealth Games village. So local ranks may well be bolstered.

This trend of athletes going missing and overstaying their visas is nothing new. More than 100 athletes overstayed their visas following the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
