Opetia is currently in Samoa helping the youth of tomorrow while Bilal is having a training camp in Canary Islands.

Feb 8 Gallen vs Hopate undercard has two fighters withdrawn.
Damien Hooper and Willis Meehan. Hooper is no surprise as he is currently in jail and not due to be released until Aug.
March 1 Fenech Fight Night Brock Jarvis is finally not fighting a cadaver and being matched with 23 yr old Filipino Luis Cedo 11 W 5 L 4 KO 1 D for the vacant IBF 118 lb Youth Title.
Finally the ANBF has taken some action with the farce involving the 168 lb and 154 Title.
Faris Chevalier has relinquished the 168 lb Title and on the Fenech Fight Night Joshua Jenkins will be fighting Blake Travers for the vacant title.
Sam Colombian has also relinquished his 154 lb Title. Sam fought for the OPBF Title on 20 Jan and lost via 8 rd tko . Sam couldn't continue due to a dislocated shoulder and it looks like he will be inactive for a long time again.
A announcement of who will be fighting for the vacant title hopefully will be announced soon.

 

Aust HW Champ Demsey Mckean next opponent 31 yr old Brazilian Robson Bambu 4 W 3 L 4 ko over 8 rds. Its a international bout so Aust Title not up for grabs Southport March 16.
These imported HW are a mystery to me though he has to be better than Willis Meehan next opponent March 1 Argentinian HW 42 yr old Julian Esteban Ruiz who has 8 losses in 20 fights 4 by ko and 3 by tko.
To me its long way to come from to be cannon fodder for our local HW''s.
Aust 130 lb Champ Liam Wilson who won the title in his 3 fight is back in training and looks to have a massive 2019.

Jeff Horn is now chasing only big fights and has been calling out Keith Thurman . Thurman down played Horn's ability when he was WBO Champ. The Hornet is also chasing a rematch with Pacquiao.

Darragh Foley is a late addition to Feb 8 Gallen vs Hopate undercard.
His opponent is Indonesian Wellem Reyk who is on quite a streak. In his last 15 fights he has won two and has a draw and lost five by ko and two by tko.
Foley lost his WBA no 5 ranking in Dec when he lost to Akeem Ennus Brown on pts.

WBO SMW Champ Gilberto Ramirez intends to move up to 175 lbs with the aim of becoming a two division champ. This leads WBO no 4 Rohan Murdock in a strong position to challenge for the title if it becomes vacant. DDP did wonders manoeuvring Dennis Hogan to mandatory at 154 lbs and i see no reason they can't do the same with Murdock.

Few years back my friend fighting light Heavy in Melbourne for da australian title got only $800.00 dollars for that to Manny boxer's walk away . Unless U really love it or U just want a fight . If U say I just want a fight get me afight U won't get payed you'll just get like 30 tickets sell an you'll probably give em to family an friends an fight for peanuts seen it happen a lot . The WBO has given Jamie Munguia promoter's 30 days to negotiate his mandatory against Dennis Hogan. If deal cannot be made it will go to purse bid. This fight must take place by April 20. Be great if DDP wins and its held in Brisbane.

Hogan and his promoter Paul Keegan remain confident they can find the 1.5 m to pay Munguia and then cover up with another 1.5 m to cover all other expenses if they win the purse bid for Brisbane.

Boxer's from overseas that make australia home get looked after better than our own boxer's . Boyd has a tough mountain to climb because of how most promoters here are . Boyd like Fleming an other's deserve better . Won't say no name's . it's like this tho " if U don't sign this contract once U go out that door da deal is off , I'll shut every door that U try to get through . So it's not easy in da fight game when things like that get done to U .

 

I like Mark Lucas 9 Win's 4 Kos if Lucas wins this one he'll be da one to watch in future . Rocky Jerkic I think he had a injury when he fought Anthony Buttergige his first lose very close I watched it but couldn't pick who would get it . Jerkic can punch hard U can cee from his previous Fight's he hasn't had a fight for sometime so must be right now so I'll pick Jerkic to win this .
