Head to head I reckon Nikita will be something like $1.65 and Mazoudier will be around $4.20

That's exactly the price I had for him and like the Biggs fight which he opened at ( $1.65 too ) he dropped significantly.

"And why TF is he called the lieutenant? Was he in the army or something?"

MP I just saw this comment on Youtube lol the commenter went to the Goodman fight last night

'' I got a ticket looking directly at centre ring square on. When i got there i was told my ticket had been upgraded. I thought i got lucky. When i got inside i realised their idea of an upgrade was pushing me further away from the ring to the side .Where i bought my ticket were two big tv cameras. They sold those tickets knowing theyd shove those people to the sides the shifty fkn dogs. But first they took the **** by lying to me. No limit to the dishonesty more like it ''

Lol. '' The Human Fund ''

Peronally I've got Opetaia #1 in this country. His win over Briedis who was Ring Magazine champion is miles above what Tim has accomplished so far. Regardless, Aussie boxing is in a great place.

Good fight on the Wallace v Gipp undercard between Austin "Sugar Free" Aokuso and Titi Motusaga. Looking forward to seeing AA back in the mix.

Agreed I love both guys but I would have Opetaia at number 1 and Tim at 2. I agree with Kambosos being number 3 as he is a former unified champion and his win over Lopez is the best Aussie win in a long time.

Hi Crew - The Sandman_ went & watched our Olympic boxing team tonight in action against the Brazilian Olympic boxing team at the AIS. Despite the Brazilians boasting Olympic & World Championship medalists, our guys (& girls) slayed them like Santa on Christmas Eve. Put a good whoopin' on them & they didn't like it. They actually walked out of the ring after the first round of the last fight of the night protesting the scoring (I think). The fact that their Olympic H/W Bronze medalist had been pulverized by Teremoana & was going to get brutally stopped had he come out for the second may have had something to do with it.

Best performance of the night was from Callum Peters. He's a tremendous talent & was facing a decent opponent who took Silver at last year's World Championships. The Brazilian was fortunate to get a decision against Callum in the quarter finals of that tournament last year but wasn't in the same post code as him tonight. He's real high class & a great chance for a medal in Paris, I reckon. Watching him fight tonight you could tell he's a bit special (in a good way). If that form translates into the Olympic tournament, I like our chances of picking one up.

Harry Garside won a UD against his opponent but did have some trouble with him & appeared to be staggered in the second round. Perhaps he just got caught off balance. As mentioned, Teremoana was just too big, too strong & punched too hard for Abner Teixeira. Poor sportsmanship from the Brazilians to leave the ring in the manner that they did which was a sour ending to an otherwise good night of boxing.

In the women's, Caitlin Parker was solid without being spectacular. The girl who impressed me the most but who didn't win her fight was Marissa Pohlman Williamson. She's physically strong & punches hard.

Other winners on the night were Yusuf Chothia (SD in the Men's 51 kg), Tiana Echegaray (SD in the Women's 54 kg), Charlie Senior (UD in the Men's 57kg) & Monique Suraci (SD in the Women's 50 kg).

Hello Australian boxing aficionados. While I hope you've been having a relaxing weekend, the @Sandman_ has been HARD AT IT observing a big weekend of sport in the national capital. Firstly, it was the Australian Olympic boxing team against the Brazilian Olympic boxing team on Friday night. Yesterday, it was Ricky's Raiders against the Wests Pussicats. Today, I was BACK ON THE JOB at the boxing, watching Australia versus Brazil - the rematches. After the Brazilian Olympic team GOT WAXED SEVERELY on Friday night, they rebounded strongly this afternoon to reverse a number of Friday evening's results. Much to the animated displeasure of their coaching staff, the Brazilians couldn't quite turn it around in the two fights that they appeared to invest emotionally in the most.

Callum Peters won a hard-fought SD at Light Heavy against their World Championship silver medalist that though close, was well deserved, I thought. The Brazilian coaches carried on like they had been robbed blind in that one which wasn't the case. Close fight, but Callum had the better of it. Their Super Heavy, Abner Teixeira, also performed much better today. He lost a split decision to Teremoana in a fight that could have gone either way. I'm glad our judges didn't give them that one though b/c after the Brazilians walked out on Friday night with Teremoana on his way to what should have been a BIG KAYO win, they didn't deserve to break even in the Super Heavyweight division.

A lot of their other fighters did deserve it though & performed very well. I've posted the full results from both days below. Most of the fights that were an SD for Australia could quite reasonably have been scored the other way which is not to say that they should have been (if that makes sense). Our two most experienced fighters, Harry Garside & Caitlin Parker both won well today. Harry was a bit sketchy on Friday night I thought but he looked much better today against the same opponent.

    Today's (Sunday) results - 17 March 2024:
Women's Featherweight - Tina Rahimi opened the batting in a fight that wasn't scored but would have gone to Brazil had it been. The name of the opponent wasn't announced.
    Men's Flyweight - Jye Dixon (non-Olympian) W(SD) Michael Trindade
Women's Bantamweight - Tiana Echegaray L(SD) Tatiana Chagas
Men's Featherweight - Charlie Senior L(SD) Ramon Conceircao
Women's Lightweight - Tyler McDonald L(UD) Jocielen Romeu
Men's Light Welter - Harry Garside W(UD) Cleisson Santos
Women's Welterweight - Marissa Pohlman Williamson L(UD) Barbara dos Santos
Men's Light Heavy - Callum Peters W(SD) Wanderly Pereira
Women's Flyweight - Monique Suraci L(UD) Caroline Almeida
Women's Middleweight - Caitlin Parker W(UD) Beatriz Soares
    Men's Heavyweight - Ikenna Enyi (non-Olympian) L(UD) Keno Machado
Men's Super Heavy - Teremoana Jr W(SD) Abner Teixeira

    Friday night's results - 15 March 2024
Women's Lightweight - Tyla McDonald opened the batting in a fight that wasn't scored but would have gone to Brazil had it been. The name of the opponent wasn't announced.

This is a pretty cool report. And I actually know who Abner Teixeira is. He's experienced and really solid opposition.

I've got about 14 months left in Canberra then will likely head back to South Korea. I should attend some of these events.

Callum Peters is also from Adelaide and I think my sister saw him at the Dom Polski Centre a year odd back. My sister watches a lot more boxing than I do these days.

It was high quality boxing & they charge a pittance for it. Only a small crowd but it filled up a bit this afternoon. Get there 10 minutes before it starts & you can sit wherever you want.

I really enjoy being able to track the progress of our Olympians. I think we've got three genuine medal chances (Callum Peters, Caitlin Parker & Teremoana). Four if you count Harry.

Conor Wallace vs Jack Gipp was an unreal fight. It’ll be tough to beat for domestic fight of the year. I recommend you catching the replay if you haven’t seen it.
