Great fight. When I was watching it and the last round came I was rooting for Ogden to get a one punch KO on Yang that would be an epic end but it wasn't to be but still great stuff by both guys

Yang looked about 15 years old but he was a warrior and finished without a mark on him. Ogden by contrast, was pretty messed up.

I've enjoyed watching our Olympic team over in the USA this week. We've qualified four fighters for the finals tomorrow morning - two men & two women. Things were looking grim earlier in the week when four of our five Olympic qualified men went out in the first round, but getting four through to the final, including one non-Olympian who presumably should be added to our squad if we can in the men's H/W division is good going.

Teremoana Jr knocked a Doodle rotten this morning in the first round. It wasn't their Olympian from H-Town though. I think he got knocked rotten by Teremoana in sparring the previous week & wasn't able to compete. Either that, or he's done a H-Town special & run like a rabbit. Teremoana faces the Brazilian & Tokyo Olympic medalist Abner Teixeria in the final. Teremoana beat him twice out here in March but needs to do it again tomorrow morning to claim the gold. Teixeria beat the British Super Heavy Delicious Orie to make the final.

The other male who qualified for the final was Ikenna Enyi in the Heavyweight division. His American opponent in the semi got disqualified for repeatedly ducking below the waist. Tough luck call for the Doodle but after losing two points earlier in the fight he ducked low another three times in the space of about five seconds which ended the fight. Great result for Ike Enyi who should be given a chance to qualify for the Paris Olympics. He's out-performed all of the other Australian men in this tournament & should take the final spot on our Olympics roster. He faces the Brazilian Keno Machado in the final who he fought twice out here in March.

In the women's Monique Suraci had her third win of the tournament to qualify for the final at Light Flyweight. I've seen her fight three times out here earlier in the year & wasn't overly impressed. What she can do though is fight for the full three minutes of every round which some of her opponents haven't been able to do in this tournament & the judges have picked up on that. Great effort from her to make the final & well deserved.

Lastly, but by no means least, Caitlin Parker also qualified for the final. She really had to work hard for it this morning against a big, strong French girl who won the first round on all five scorecards. Our girl showed plenty of grit to fight back from that position to win her way through the final. Her opponent in the final is a big, tall Canadian southpaw who will take some beating.

Chris Eubank Jr vs Michael Zerafa? Unlikely, I would have thought. But you hear all sorts of things in this crazy game.

Former Italian amateur national team member. Has decent skills & gave Michael Zerafa a workout.

Looked ordinary last start in that he ran out of gas after two rounds of a four rounder against a Kiwi. He took that one on very short notice though so might do better tonight with a full preparation under his belt. If the version that fought Zerafa shows up, he will give Nikita problems. If the version who fought last start is the opponent, he goes to sleep early. Probably we'll get a version that is somewhere in between.

I think you'll find it was the Kiwi who took that fight on short notice, not Creati. From memory Creati was already on that card but meant to fight someone else.

The good news for Kiwis is that we've still got plenty of room on the AUSSIE Dave Nyika train.

We're heading over to Saudi to stomp some German sausage REAL SOON.
