Garside's career since winning the bronze last Olympics has been disappointing.

Round 2 at the Olympic boxing tonight. We lost two early wickets last night on a seaming pitch but Teremoana came in first drop in the men's Super Heavy division & hoicked the first one he faced over long-on & into the member's pavilion for six. Australia's best batsman faces a hostile Kazakh attack tonight in the Light Heavy division. Word is the Kazakh will be coming in off the long run & with the wind behind him. I'm predicting Callum Peters will handle the short stuff & subdue his more fancied opponent. Get ready to rule in the ring like we do in the pool. Tonight's schedule:

7:32pm AEST Yusuf Chothia (Men's Flyweight) v Spain
12:18am AEST Callum Peters (Men's Light Heavy) v Kazakhstan
1:05am AEST Tiana Echegaray (Women's Bantamweight) v Turkey

Callum Peters lost a close decision but it was a valiant effort. Kazakh had to go through hell and it was questionable who won.

Peters proved again what a mad dog he is in the ring. Will be one exciting professional prospect when/if he makes the switch
