Zerafa needed rounds and confidence. That's why they chose Tommy. Bad luck Tommy's 40 year old arm packed it in. Now he needs to find rounds somewhere else and Brubaker is a good call but I hope he stays retired.

I think Nikita-Ryan is a banana skin they should avoid. Even if Nikita won he would get damaged doing it. Not a good lead-in to the biggest fight of his career.

I think there's half a dozen guys out there who would make decent opponents for Nikita - three locals (Michael Zerafa, Wade Ryan & Ben Hussain) & three local 'internationals' - Sergei Vorobev (Russia), Mounier Fathi (Morocco) & Victor Nagbe (Liberia). I'd be playing it safe & giving him Victor Nagbe or Ben Hussain next. I think facing four of those six between now & the end of next year is the way to go.

After Zerafa's fight last night, they asked him what he thought of the upcoming main event, Nikita-Mazoudier and if I heard Zerafa correctly, he said 'why didn't Nikita fight Joel Camilleri?'

My reaction was, you just fought 41 year old Tommy Browne FFS! Why didn't you fight Camilleri??

I'm hoping Zerafa is the underdog in the betting with Nikita. He's another level to Nikita's opponents to date. Fun night of fights last night.

There are media reports that NSW Police have launched an investigation into last night's incident.

“About 10pm yesterday (Wednesday 28 August 2024), police were patrolling a sporting event at a convention centre on Darling Drive, Sydney, when a 26-year-old man assaulted a 60-year-old man during the event,” NSW Police alleged in a statement.

Tommy Mercuri told Fox Sports that Jason-Manuel Zerafa should be banned from the sport for the “dog shot”. Hard to disagree with that.

Money McIntyre got another impressive stoppage last night in an untelevised fight. He put away LB Mathew inside of three rounds. Some of the older heads on here like myself might remember his Dad, former Aussie Super Fly and Bantam champion, Lucas Mathew from back in the 90s.

The Zerafa camp are now trying to point the finger at Mercuri - LOL!

A security guard already had things under control when brother Zerafa snuck around from behind him and sniped Mercuri.

Take a look at the video Zerafas. Not a leg to stand on.

There was no need for any of it to be honest, from all parties.

Zerafa's brother is a spineless little dog. To see the way he snuck up, hid behind whoever he hid behind, then came around the person he was hiding behind and threw that pathetic right hand.

Spineless little dog. Must get it from his brother. To talk about Brown's ex in the lead up to the fight is gutter level. And falsely calling Hardman racist in the lead up to there fight. Just pathetic stuff that isn't needed.

Don't forget fighting 46 year old Mundine who would've flogged him in his prime.

When Santa comes down the chimney in December, I would like to see Nikita & Micky Z in another double-header in order to marinate their showdown. Give Nikita Victor Nagbe 8-1 (3) & Micky Z Ben Hussain 11-2 (7). Or the other way around - it doesn't really matter. Six foot two Ben Hussain is probably a better preparation for Micky Z than Nagbe (who being a southpaw would be good preparation for Zerafa against Nikita). Then match them up. Micky Z needs some rounds to marinate the fight properly. There's no point seeing Nikita knock his head off unless it means something. Micky Z needs to display some form in order for that to be the case.

Maybe put Conor Wallace on the undercard against Paulo Aokuso or Imam Khataev as well. The Aussie Irishman needs to decide whether he wants to fight for a world title or actually try to win one.

Much bigger fights await Wallace than either of those two. At this stage neither offers Wallace a big pay day or advances his career. Wallace will be fighting in Saudi before too long I suspect. Malik Zinad might well be the opponent.

I reckon Brubaker would rattle Zerafa's cage in the build up and it would create interest.

Zerafa got buzzed 3 or 4 times by an overhand right from a 40 year old Browne, imagine what little zoo would do?

Lil Zoo wasn't exactly pitch-perfect against Mazoudier himself, though. Was down on my card and benefited from a generous stoppage considering what an iron zombie Mazoudier had proven to be all fight long.
